I have a chance of a highly modified T350T with 4.0Litre engine, sag brakes, close ratio gearbox etc & keep my 4.5 Cerbera.
Or should I sell the Cerb & get a Sag?

Decisions!

I have a highly modified T350 and had a Cerbera for 17.5 years both very different but I prefer the T350, your problem is, you have mentioned the Sag so if you did get the T350 and kept the Cerb would you still be wondering about the Sag

T350T you can take the roof panels off and have a bit of sky, interior is the same as a Sag, engine will be the same as a Sag, Sag will have slightly better handling but only slightly and then it will depend on who is driving. Obviously the Sag has mad looks and thee T350 not as aggressive looking so its your choice on looks and which one you prefer, Decisions decisions confused

Sorry for my english as i'm french.
I had a 4.5 cerbera from 2001.
Great great car.
I bought it at the beginning because of my children.
I sold it.
And changed it by a T350 with the same option the one you mention.

For me... Get the T350

Better handling, very impressive engine...

But i have to say that if it would have been possible, i would kept the cerbie too !

The T350 reminds me my TVR 2500M... But in a modern version !

Hope it helps !

Jérôme

I think much depends on how you use your current car. If you use your car a lot the value of Sags might mean you end up with a car which you don't use as much for fear of impacting the value. Conversely, with a heavily modified T350 you might be buying someone's bodged project. There is also the question of whether having two very similar cars has any sense.

If the T350 is a good car then I'd probably buy and use it and sell the Cerb.

I have had six months now with my T350T, coming from a Cerbera 4.5. The T350 is a fantastic car, miles better than a Cerbera. That doesn't tell the whole story however - a Cerbera grabs your hair and kicks you in the nuts, whereas the T350 impresses with its usability and ease of use whilst also losing none of the TVR thrill that makes us love them in the first place. If I could have kept my Cerbera for scaring myself and the T350 for longer trips, that is precisely what I'd do. I don't think there would be enough about a Sagaris to tempt me away from this, especially considering the T350 you are looking at already has the 4 litre engine.

I went from a Cerb 4.2 to a Sag.

Best move I ever made.

IT all depends on what you want from the car.... To me the Cerb is the best looking TVR ever despite owning the Tam I prefer open top motoring.... The Cerb has road presence and encompasses the TVR look...oh and the most important thing a V8.....IMHO

Funny enough I have gone the other way.....

Had a Tam, T350t, Sagaris and recently bought a very low mileage Cerbera 450LW last September.

Dare I say, I prefer the Cerbera out of all the 4 I have owned.

The Sag is something absolutely mega. A proper awesome supercar.

A T350 just does not compare and however much I love a Cerb neither does that.

I'd say a Sag is a better car, more resolved than a Cerbera, quicker, but the Cerb is more fun to drive. I'd stick with the Cerb, especially given the price difference.

Having both 4.7 Cerbera and 4.3 Sagaris - very different characteristics and different manners - depends on the drive to do. The Cerbera is a more relaxed drive - and the ears don't bleed.

Is one better than the other? Both are great fun - Keep the Cerbera, Buy the T350 - and aim to get a Sagaris to complete the collection.

I find my Sag much more imposing to drive than the Cerbera, It seems much much wider.

Having said that the interior of a Cerb is a special place to be, the Sag is almost mainstream in comparison. The interior of the Cerb pretty much sums up to me what a TVR should be - pure pantomime

I fear for the new age of TVR. From what I am hearing from those who have been at the reveals etc it seems very nerdy, all about extracting the upmost performance. Lots of numbers and BHP per tonne and under body aero. Boring the pants off of me have to say, getting less interested by the day. Needs to appeal to the 9yr old boy in me, not my inner Stig, plenty of other cars do that.

By Sagaris brakes, do you mean upgraded front and rear brakes as per the T350 red rose option?

It's much easier to control your fear of what the future holds by just accepting some bloke is maybe building a new sports/GT car sometime in the future, but it's only related to TVR via a very thin association - a badge.

Very interesting thread. Beauty is in the eye etc. So here is my two bob's worth....I have had a Mk 1 TuscanS, sold that and bought the Sagaris RT, bought a Cerbera 4.5, then sold that when I discovered my T350T. So now I have the Sagaris RT and the T350T. I think they are both extra ordinary vehicles, and very different experiences. Have just used the T350T for a couple of days at work, what a rockin thing it is, I love the Speed Six engine.

Fab as my Cerbera was, for me its the Speed Six engined cars every single day of the week....and I know I haven't answered the OP's question...sorry!

Speed Six Cerbera - probably the most under rated TVR of all time!
