Happy days indeed.

Look forward to the results of this one. And at long last someone has gone with a roller cam.

Looking at the engine - which does look as if it will do the business - I assume there will have to be some mods to the bonnet when it is in the car?

Thanks Alan for the spacer plates.
The plan is for the engine to fit under the standard bonnet.
I need the extra power to stand any chance of keeping up with you Jes.

That is a fantasy spec engine that, 5.2, Wildcat heads, rods, roller cam etc. If Carlsberg did Rover V8s!

Really nice and very much looking forward to hearing how it performs. Certainly looks the business. Good work sir cool

What do we think this amazing engine will make on a proper correctly calibrated engine dyno?

I'll go with 85bhp per litre.

5.2 x 85 = 442 true horsepower at the crank.

Place your bets wink

Well I don't want to get too technical, but my 4 litre pulls 233 bhp.
Add 1.2 litres on top - an extra 60 bhp based on a VW polo's output.
Add big valves - an extra 50 bhp just because I say so.
Add 100 bhp for the valve cover logos.
Another 50 bhp for those anodised blue things cos they look cool.
Total = 493 bhp on my completely scientific imaginary rolling road.
Fudge factor tbc

Some good technical analysis here and well thought out, in the end we are only 50hp apart too.

Too be honest I completely forgot to add in the anodised blue things so you're probably closer to the real figure than me wink

Anymore for anymore?
