I want a Sagaris but know the square root of nothing about!!
Discussion
Looks like there will be a few on the market this year.
My Sag is likely..ish to go up for sale this year. Spent an absolute fortune on creating my dream car, so it will be a real issue to see it go…..not going to be for everyone as it has a Top Cats Racing (No2) LS7 550bhp conversion under the bonnet. A very rare version of a very rare car, and a true testament to the professionalism of Top Cats. Goes like a train….even have the old S6 with the car. Original car from the Belfry Sagaris Launch so has a very interesting TVR history from launch to specialist modification.
I did have someone from Germany ask if I would sell, not yet convinced myself to cross the line.
OP, take your time looking and spend as much time as needed getting all the info you need. The hunt is all part of the fun.
Re your questions:
Inspection can be done by any reputable TVR specialist. I would look at those up for sale at specialists first. Will give you a good first impression.
Forget running costs. Tax, insurance, servicing etc will come under your budget…unless you decide to do what I have done you will be OK.
They will all continue to increase in value unless you buy a nail, and there are some out there. Stunning looking car with a superb road presence, sound and public appreciation.
Good luck with your hunt.

As long as the chassis is good, the car has decent service history and no "stories", it sounds very reasonable in the current market.
What would be classed as a poor chassis?Personally, poor chassis is original suspension bushes and more than 20% of the chassis with surface corrosion due to breakdown of the coating (but that's just me, others will have differing definitions I'm sure).
There is no real reason for a car not to be free of surface corrosion if its been looked after and used moderately as most of these cars (Sagaris) are. I would think a car used fairly regularly through the winter months will be a challenge to keep corrosion free.
