Congratulations. Just sold mine, can't imagine I'll get a more reliable, solid TVR. It was superb.

Very nice. Be interesting to see how you find it compared to your Chimaera. Enjoy

Congrats, you’ll love it. It is a totally different drive to the Chim and it took me a few months to ‘bond’ with it having had my old 400 Chimaera for 5 years prior. I’d describe it as much more of a race car, the Chim being a more relaxed GT/sports car to drive. It’s light years ahead in terms of handling and the S6 is awesome once you get it singing.
If it hasn’t already then get yourself a sports back box to make the exhaust note really come alive and with it being an early car I believe there are some upgraded clips available for the targa panels. Theres also a facebook pages for us 350 owners that’s a lot more active than this forum.
I’ve had mine nearly 9 years now and it still puts a grin on my face every time I drive it and aside from 1 breakdown (albeit quite major requiring a full rebuild) it’s been ultra reliable.

Many thanks,

And a well done to you too,so yours being the Red Glow Pearlescent (robsco's) then? I've been on and off looking for probably about 12 months, think the tvr lads that know me were getting a bit sick of hearing about it smile But I was undecided about going for a Jensen, phoned up on a couple that to my surprise sold rather quickly. I'm a bit of a keeper with cars as I get attached to them, hence why I'm not selling the Chimaera after 4 years of ownership because at the moment I just can't part with it.
So thoughts of a next purchase are completely off the radar, but if there's any itch still to be scratched then it's the Jensen.
Like me then you're probably having restless nights,I've spent some serious hours searching threads before the purchase and even now I'm trawling T350/ speed six threads to gain as much knowledge as I can. Then when I'm in bed things I've been reading about are going through my headsilly

lol very much the same. I've ended up with the reflex charcoal one at torque rvt.

Looking at swapping out steering wheel and head unit right away lol

Yeah for sure it's all about the car music. But at some point for me it's mmmm gonna need my music and all of my stuff is on my phone through Spotify.

I've heard about this fabled 350 daily driver. Is this the guy? I need to speak to him!

I do about 12k average a year. Was gonna try and do my daily work run on this.40 mile round trip. But ian at torque is trying to pursuade me not to take the car out when the salt is out. So will end up doing less than that now.

lol maybe - but this it's what it's all about! Bring a big kid and getting excited for motors.

Just realised my last comment isn't make sense. By car music I meant the exhaust note smile but you got the point still. As a daily I'll need my music at some point. Which is on my phone.

One thing I was advised to look at as an upgrade is the refurb throttle spindle bushing. Apparently makes a great differnce to the engine at low revs.

I'm also gonna look into front and rear light upgrades.

Congrats. You will love it. I loved mine. Take time to get use to the performance. Always bear in mind that no matter what, always allow time for the tyres to warm up. Even modern 4WD cars with all the electronics are limited by grip on cold tyres.
Part of the fun is knowing that with no ABS or traction control, it's all in your hands - all down to you to control the car.
Even driving slowly, the car feels so alive but you do have to get used to be forgiving with little gremlins.

Ignore all the taunts from hot hatchbacks for races, just sit back and enjoy yourself.

Got mine today. Took a while to get used to it. Your not wrong on driving it slow an feeling literally everything. It's scary how much the modern car compensates or hides from you. The new cars Almost gives the driver too much confidence!

My journey back was nearly all motorway and it was running pretty slowly, quite often at a standstill.I covered 130 miles and my oil temp never got above 65 and many times it would drop back to 52-55. Water temp was around 90 sometimes a little higher.
Just surprised that the oil temp never hit 70 or above,am I worrying over nothing? Was it simply because of that type of journey ?
Don't worry about it. When cruising on the motorway I rarely see 70C on the dash unless it is the height of summer. The problem is due to where the oil temperature sensor is located which gets cold air passing over it lowering the reading. Once you get use to your car you'll be able to estimate the actual oil temperature by looking at the oil pressure or just check it when you come to a stop for 30secs (lights, junctions etc.).

Hi i had a Chimera for 9 years sold it and missed it so much. I bought a 390se wedge to fill in and at the moment it is being re commisioned for the road. In between times about 5 years ago i bought my t350t in griggio with mulberry leather interior. I have spent some money on it every year upgrading and a few cosmetic bits under the bonnet. It took me a while to get used to it but it is one of the best handling cars i have driven. I was lucky enough to have been at goodwood for the tvr launch the other week and we may have a contender about the handling.lol good luck with your car and do let it warm up before you give it some.
regards
Frank

Looking awesome buddy. Same same on the oil temp as per what the other said. When at consesnt speed it's stays pretty cool. At Sean's still it rises. But I've noticed it still does take some time to warm up in the mornings. Been ona daily and it's about a good 20 mins in before it's properly warmed up. But what a difference.

The only other niggle I've had

Tram lining/twitchy steering - not sure if this is cold tyres or wrong psi or just me coming from a regular car. Still need to play around

Wind noise. - I have a Targa but the wind noise comes from my wing mirror!

lots rattles and clunks over bumps - need to get in someone else's car to see what's normal

Freaking hot when warm! Heard decat can help

Lovely purr and a few pops and crackles when warm. Thinking of decat again to get more sounds. I'm using as a daily so not sure if I want to put a new box on as I think it will do my head in on the motorway

Bloody door jam - sometimes it opens half way but then can't open the door.

Seat belt jam - this is the most frustrating!!! Everyday without fail.

But all in all I know it's tvr and I'm still loving it. Looks the sound make it all worth it!

Hi, you will get there using it as your daily driver will give you time to explore it's quirky ways. And there will be plenty myself i only use it when the sun shines and recently i have started going to club meetings. I have always been a loner but realise that club meetings are very informative and helpful. I belong to the Blackpool club and have my car serviced at X Works by Heath and Paul who were 2 top lads at TVR. I learn something about my car every time i drive it because i do not use it every day for you it will be different. I am thinking of selling one of my cars as i have ordered the new griffith. This is not an easy choice as i like them both but it is a garage space problem that i have. Nearly forgot the glove box yes that is normal if you can put it in a gentle press like Heath at X works did for me then it will be fine and i hasten to add he did'nt charge me for it.
