Looking awesome buddy. Same same on the oil temp as per what the other said. When at consesnt speed it's stays pretty cool. At Sean's still it rises. But I've noticed it still does take some time to warm up in the mornings. Been ona daily and it's about a good 20 mins in before it's properly warmed up. But what a difference.

The only other niggle I've had

Tram lining/twitchy steering - not sure if this is cold tyres or wrong psi or just me coming from a regular car. Still need to play around - check you tyre pressures and get it geo'ed up. Most owners I know run circa 22 front and 24 rear

Wind noise. - I have a Targa but the wind noise comes from my wing mirror! Quite common, it's a handbuilt car and if you look some of them will have quite a gap in the leading edge of where the window goes into the A-pillar and some won't. The wind swirls in there and can then whistle through the door seal, some people are lucky and don't get that, others like me are unfortunate

lots rattles and clunks over bumps - need to get in someone else's car to see what's normal It's never going to be a Merc S-class and there will be some rattles but they should be relatively minimal. Do you know where abouts the rattles are coming from?

Freaking hot when warm! Heard decat can help It can a little but don't expect miracles. A better, if more expensive solution is zircotec coating the manifolds

Lovely purr and a few pops and crackles when warm. Thinking of decat again to get more sounds. I'm using as a daily so not sure if I want to put a new box on as I think it will do my head in on the motorway Personally I don't like the de-cat only route, it resonates. A sports box such as JP (form ACT products) sounds amazing. They also do a full system which gives more depth to the noise but isn't as ASBO

Bloody door jam - sometimes it opens half way but then can't open the door. 2 things, is the car on a slope with the slope facing back into the car as that can affect it. Secondly, what are the door seals like as if replaced it may make it more springy

Seat belt jam - this is the most frustrating!!! Everyday without fail. The intertia reel is incredibly sensitive, it will lock if on a slight slope (especially sidewards). Usually sorted by very gently puling once back on the flat

But all in all I know it's tvr and I'm still loving it. Looks the sound make it all worth it! smilesmilesmile
In all, none of your niggles are anything no owner hasn't faced. Just enjoy it....

Welcome to the gang both of you. Just returned from a 2,500 mile trip to Italy...it went like a train! Only snag was a dead spot on the wiper motor which resulted in the wipers not working on occasion...thank goodness for RainX! I really like the car, I've had it for around 3 years and think whilst the Targa pods somewhat ruin the lovely lines of the coupe (IMHO), being able to have semi open top motoring easily trumps the Coupe....again IMHO! Not as well handling as a Sagaris but epic and intoxicating none the less!!

Thanks Zippee. Reassuring in a TVR kind of way that at least the niggles im seeing are common place.

the zircotec coating - is it a big job?

The ACT full system sounds interesting. Im already wanting more but dont want full on ASBO esp as its daily. Will check it out.

Rattles -def in the back and only on big bumps. cant tell if its just the rear glass or something else.

Happy to help where I can smile
Zircotec involves removal of the manifolds which is a biggish job and then sending them away which is not cheap.
A few owners on here do have the full ACT so may be worth a post as such, or on the T350 facebook page where more owners tend to hang out. Contact Pher Shidevil (Steve Perkins) as he runs it and will add you.
Rattles from the back, check your glass boot lid. When it is shut can you rattle it by hand (imagine holding it to open and giving it a shake if that makes sense) as it could just be the striker pin moving in the latch. The latch is slightly adjustable, I have some rubber shrink wrapping on my striker to dampen anything here.

In addition to what Zippee stated there are also spacers for the steering rack which helps (speak to str8six)

When you next finish a drive put the blowers on the coldest setting and highest fan speed then check if hot air is coming out if the upper or lower vents. If that's the source it'll most likely just need a change of flap setting

Lovely purr and a few pops and crackles when warm. Thinking of decat again to get more sounds. I'm using as a daily so not sure if I want to put a new box on as I think it will do my head in on the motorway

A few of the garages can modify/change the inertia reel mechanism to fix that issue. Some cars are worse than others for it - my first T350 never gave me any problems whereas my current one was a nightmare on occasion until I got them changed

But all in all I know it's tvr and I'm still loving it. Looks the sound make it all worth it!

Zircotec or similar ceramic coatings require the manifolds to be sent away which is an engine out job I believe. Worth doing if it is out anyway otherwise I would hold fire as it would almost double the cost.

I've got a full ACT exhaust system and decats in my 4.3 T350t. I'm happy to take you out if you are ever in the Solihull area.

Hello Jas!

I was the second owner of this car, I had it from 2006 I think from 2 1/2 years old for about 3 years. It was standard when I bought it other than the sports pipes (Tvr power-best noise) During that time everything around the car slowly started failing so I did all the engine work, Carbon airbox, diff and gear ratio change, 'S' brake upgrade on front, nitron shocks, poly bushes all round and all sorts of bits and bob costing a fortune and that's what got me the forum name 'hollowpockets'. When the engine failed it was a C6 liner slipped and it went to 'automedon' yeah guys who remembers that disaster of a place? But they failed to fix it so I didn't pay them and took it to Tvr power who were great, £8k I think at the time plus extras to change to 4litre.

I did track it at knockhill a couple of times then did a trip to the Nurburgring, it didn't get a hard time really on track, it was regularly sideways though. If I remember rightly I went round the ring in 8m39s which was ok for a first visit.

It was such a fun car and taught me so much about car control. The neighbours loved it too! ?? I then sold it to a friend who only kept it a year I think as a kid was on the way and then the last I knew it went down to Newcastle or NE England.

The glovebox lid has always been wonkey and nobody could fix it frustratingly, the body is asymmetrical like most TVRs and the right rear arch has more clearance than the left, the left rear tyre will rub on the arch and once for me it needed re-fibreglassing as I worn a hole in it and on track the interior filled with a cloud of tyre smoke! Haha. However all said and done its brilliant and I was going to look for it to buy back a couple of years ago when I remembered how much I'd spent on it... oh yeah it also had a full respray at Tvr power in 2008 I think to sort all the stonechips out.

Enjoy

G

Hi Jas,

Yeah I rarely come on ph now as I struggle to bear most of the chat but a neighbour who became a friend when I bought this T350 saw your post and said I should drop by!

I didn't end up getting it on rollers again but I think it should have been around 360-370 still but just a better torque curve than the 3.6 engine. You should get it done would be good to know.

Haha yeah I ended up going to Noble and took that to 600bhp then converted to race, Ford GT is now at 780bhp and of course the P1 is a monster at over 900 but the best fun is my 12C GT3 race car and only has 500bhp but the aero and grip on slicks is ballistic.

Follow my racing page on fb/insta for videos etc of the road cars and racing GrahamDavidsonracing

Hello Graham,
That's really nice to hear from you,I've tracked down loads of your previous threads before and after buying the car, that many I feel like I know you or I'm verging on being a stalker but I didn't mention your name as from your profile it didn't look like you were active on PH anymore so welcome back.

I sort of smiled and cringed at the same time when reading the threads about you changing your login name biggrin (And fair play you did) it really did seem you went from one problem to the next but as you see it didn't put me off.
I have your bills from the rebuild and many others and this was my reasoning that all the bad things have been put right, also the last owner (Scott) has owned for five years which gave me a bit of faith.
You really do like your power as I read one thread where you wished it had a 100 more bhp,to me it seems like a rocket as it is and more than I really require as I'm only using for road use.
I did see that you put it on the rolling road but it was faulty and you were going to try again but couldn't find any results.
If you did try again it would be nice to know with all the extras you added what you achieved so that when people ask as they have already not to give false information.(Not willy waving,Honest)

The glove box is now better than it was and my service guy at DG sports cars had a quick look and is pretty convinced he can sort it. Drivers seat has also took a bit of a bashing since you last saw it but again it's something that is easily sorted if and when I want to.

Thanks again Graham for posting and would love if possible if you would keep an eye on my thread just in case anything else crops up that I'd like to know.

Best regards and thanks kindly for posting thumbup

Edited : Just stalked you again this morning looking at your garage profile yikes Understand now why you wanted more power biggrin (Amazing) bow

Nice one mate. Photos look great. I was the most recent owner of the car. It was a lot of fun to own. Mechanically that thing is well sorted so you've got a good one. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Lovely thread and beautiful car.

Very interested to know thoughts on how living with the 3.73 diff and CR box work for you. Please enlighten me as I was thinking is it a worthwhile upgrade for my 4.5SS Cerb

Yes it helps a little
Where"s the water?
On a serious note, the paintwork is top class, I love the rainbow effect
I have got sick to death of the rubbish cars that are being produced these days, the style of the T350 T is up amongst the best, the roof, the rear......all of the car

I hope you enjoy it for a long time
