Time to replace the rear pads. I'm currently using the factory fitted Ferodo 3432F which I believe are no longer available.

I'm struggling to choose between DS Performance and DS2500. Ferodo claim the DS Performance has a higher friction coefficient than the DS2500 (0.46 average vs 0.42), so would appear to be a better pad for road use.

My planned usage is mainly road with a few light track days. How would DS Performace fare on a track?

Thanks

I wouldn’t mix pad types, how do you know how they will react?
They may be out of balance when cold, hot or at any temperature point.
You may get an acceptable balance when first used then as they heat you may get way too much bite on the rear with bad consequences.

Not sure it’s that scientific. Different pads either side of the same axle I would worry, but front to back when the braking arrangements differ greatly anyway, and bias controlled by catalogue parts, I wouldn’t loose to much sleep.

Thanks for your comments.

DS2500 seem to get a good write up, much less written about DS Performance. I'll bite the bullet and put DS2500 on the rear.
Point taken about brake balance. It will be my first track event so will be taking it easy, the fronts will probably need changing after that anyway so can match up the pads. smile

You could ways go down the route of http://www.carbonelorrainebraking.co.uk. On the pricey side, but very good pads.

I removed them. Too hard braking and squealed a lot m. Went to DS2500 and they do the job smile
