Hi Guys,hoping for advice.
I'm considering fitting decats on my standard 3.6 litre T350.
How much exhaust disassembly is needed? Can I do it at home with a jack etc?
Have standard exhaust, happy to get a deeper noisier note.
Will it run ok,or will I need a remap or perhaps an EPROM change,is there a 3.6 litre decat EPROM available?
Finally any preference for decat pipe maker?
Cheers.
Simon.

Act fit the de cats.
Can do at home but much easier on a ramp, basically 2 cones each about 30cm that bolt on between the manifold pipes and centre pipes, a little feeling maybe required to fit.
No remap required.
Personally, whilst mine is also decatted I don't liked the sound of them with the standard rear box, it's very raspy. Get an act box on the back as well and it sounds like thunder.

Hi Tony, thank you for the quick reply. Can I loosen the cat clamps and slide the cats out and the decats in without further disassembly of the exhaust?

You will need to remove both under trays and the exhausts. The big V clamps on the cats can be a pain and you may need a deep 10mm socket to release. The Mikalor clamps are not the most reliable things in the world either, I use a different clamp, they are on the net if you search for Jetex. Usual stuff with exhausts applies, grit and stuff in the eyes and awkward without a ramp.

There are different sizes so check the diameter first. Easier to leave to someone else really....
