Bit more done and it’s starting to look like a car. One piece hinged bonnet and hinge boxes fitted. Still need to fit the catch boxes.
Loads still left to do but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now.
I know the front looks very low I’ve not had chance to set up the shockers yet for ride height but would appreciate any measurement or settings that people have found work well.

Looking good Chris, it's taking some skill to bring it back to life. Can't wait to see it back on the road.

Thanks Ian I can’t wait either but realistically it’s going to be next summer before it finds its way onto the public roads.

I was going to update this but every time I try uploading pictures it fails plus quite a few of my previous pictures seem to have disappeared. Just tried again and it comes up with an error☹️
I have been posting some progress on Facebook.
Will try upload pictures again later.
The car is at the painters now should get it back very soon. Will still need quite a bit of work but should be on the road for April May time

Great work here I bet you can't wait to get it on the road.

I've just read through the thread and didn't notice any missing pics btw.

There's a picture size limit for uploading which smartphones easily exceed .. you might have to resize / compress your pics to upload more ..

Tried an image hosting so hopefully this will work

New headline fitted not a majorly hard job but did take a bit to get right.

Interior carpets dash and seats fitted

This was about as far as I could go so off to the painters for final prep and paint

At the painters

Should get it back soon. The bodyshop will refit the bonnet and doors but all the rest I will do at home. Must admit I can’t wait to get back on it

Hi Chris,

Can't believe this is the first time I've seen this! Don't tend to look in here much.
Absolutely superb work.
I think you will enjoy this one when it's finished.

Cheers …. Eric

The colour is Rolex Blue the cars original colour in dull light it just looks like a dark blue but get the sun or artificial light and it really pops blue/purple looks fabulous and it’s cheap paint about £60 a litre compared to the flip colours which at 10 times that.
The company I used is a local friend but he is usually booked up for months at a time. He had my car for 10 weeks and just fitted it in when he had time.

Hi Chris it looks like they masked the inside of the rear light lenses to keep them original black, but did not do that at the front (likely as there was no paint there at all). Are you planning to spray over with black or see what it looks like with the Rolex Blue left as the background?

You are almost there now so must be chuffed to bits thumbup
