Fuel sender sensor?
Discussion
I always thought it was a dodgy sensor in the tank (total pain to get to). I've lived with my intermediate fault code for over 10 year, just don't rely on the displayed number of litres even though they look believable most of the time. Zero the miles at petrol station and fill to brim. Circa 250 miles per tank on motorway - 80 on the track
We've now replaced the sensor in the tank. This is a bad procedure because the tank is divided by baffles and the sensor is in the middle part. My mechanic first spent some time with an endoscope to see the structure of the tank and how it got to the sensor. The sensor is pushed in at two rails on the right and left and then clipped firmly.
It works fine and no more fault messages in the display.
You should test your new sensor before you start the procedure!
