Is it possible or rather how easy would it be to convert a T350 seat to a Sagaris type. I'm talking about the square type not the Tuscan type. For those that don't know, and to be fair I'd never noticed until recently, the Sagaris ones have bigger "teddy bears ears"
I'm guessing a complete rear foam?
Even as I'm writing this it sounds like a non starter biggrin

These large eared seats were fitted mostly (from my experience) to early/mid year 2005 T350/Sags and maybe tamoras if any were made in that period. My old T350C had them so fitting to a Sag should just be a straight swap given the early Sags had them too. I think the Tuscan style seats were fitted to later cars as that's what the parts store had in stock rather than it being a conscious design change smile
Happy to be advised my assumptions above are incorrect.

Thanks but that's not what I'm asking. Early Sag seats are different to early T350/Tamora seats. Sags have bigger ears

My T350C had the bigger ears seats, it was made at the same time the 1st Sags were. My current T350C has the original smaller ears seats and was one of the 1st made. Just a thought I've almost bookended T350C production run smile

Different seat back or frame to support and direct the ears.

Could walk in to the store and check.

Yeah the more I thought about it there must be a different frame in to support the bigger ears

I'm afraid I have no ears.

I asked for a pair when I ordered my Sag but was told I couldnt have them so I've got the Tuscan earless seats. Side support is poor as I'm off whippet-like athletic build burger

I think I remember reading that the eared seats don't actually fit in very well so they have to be canted slightly.

I've recently been looking at these Cobra Nogaro for my Mini - they are fantasticly supportive but I'd like to keep the Sag original :-

They can be trimmed in full leather / alcantara / leather mix, multi-colour leather, contrast stitching, custom embroidery + heating and pneumatic lumber. They fit in a Mini, but I have not researched if they fit in a TVR.

LOL! I love threads like this. I just literally had to run through the rain to the garage with the laptop showing picture of T350 seats so I can compare to my Sag! Never ever noticed that before!

I think it was Richard at HHC who told me. I'd never noticed the difference either biggrin

They do fit. It's a bit of a squeeze though and you do need a bit of tilt on them to clear the head rest on the roll cage.

I mounted mine on runners so there's a bit of adjustment which is useful for removing targa panels, but this involved making a custom bracket and modifying the floor to get them to sit a bit lower. Would probably be easier if they were mounted fixed.

Pic of the updated (teddybear ear) seats as fitted to my old 2005 T350C above you can see the more forward bend the ears take in this pic compared to the flatter profile of the original T350C seats pic below hopefully

Great! Did not know that they had two types of that seat one could order (sometimes).

If you ask me, I would have asked for more support at shoulder height.
