I have a 2004 T350 Red Rose. The rack is weeping fluid on the drivers side. Looking at the service history I see that the pinion seal was replaced at 32k, then the whole rack replaced with a refurbished unit at 34k and again at 38k. It is now leaking again at 47k. Is this typical of other owners experience?

I've got an '04 Tuscan S.. Fairly sure the rack is identical across all the T cars (possibly different track rod ends?)

My rack blew one of the end seals 2 years ago (at about 87K miles). Str8Six sent it away for refurbishment and it's been fine (10K miles later).

Might be worth a call to Jason to enquire who overhauls his racks?

Thanks Nick
The two refurbished racks my car has had were fitted in 2010 and 2012, doing 4000 miles and 9000 miles respectively. Both fitted by a well know and respected TVR specialist. The original managed 30k, which seems typical from what I have read. 87k is impressive. smile
I hope the quality of refurbishment has improved over the last 7 years.
