These are the type of stainless glovebox hinge for T350/Tamora etc that Chris would make:

So far:

1. V6 Pushfit
2. TVRMs

OP - on the banging suspension front if you don't have spare cash for nitrons just yet I have a spare set of original bilsteins I took off my old 350 in 2009 at 13000 miles. Mine was a late 2004 model.
They're in good condition but with a bit of paint flaking and in need of a clean up.

Banging suspension could be anything, get it up on a ramp and have as good look around. Personally I'd get it to a TVR specialist garage like
TopCats and I'm sure they'd look at it and let you know whats up. IMHO

Is going to straight6 in a week or so for a 12,000 are they as good as Topcats/Powers? Or shouldn’t I ask on here ?

Tomorrow I shall mostly be reading the workshop manual from cover to cover.

Which will also reduce the number of inane questions I raise on here! I have to say I’m a bit lost without a carb to play about with!

I think you are allowed to ask and I'm allowed to reply. I have found Str8Six to be more thorough than Topcats but I can't comment on Powers as I've never used them.
You will get a long list of jobs from Jason, some will need addressing straight away and others will need to be watched. Don't be worried when you get the list, give him a call and talk through them.

All my personal opinion of course.

^ Thanks for that. I’m used to cars with carbs a tin rocker cover and a rotor arm and have done just about everything on the 1970’s TVRs myself so I’m on the learning curve with anything like this with an ECU !

shorts!

I have always used TopCats to set up my geometry since first getting Nitrons many years ago. They are super thorough doing this.
The high speed steering issue could be adressed with a good geometry set up but I have found the T350 to be quite tyre sensitive and very tyre pressure sensitive, even by just a couple of psi.

Basics like tyre tread and pressure imbalance can cause this, also worn steering and suspension components.

You have a 180mph car and everything needs to be top notch.

I was just wondering - is it possible to find out the build spec on a chassis number? ie paint coulour, any specific options a customer requested etc ie diff and gearbox ratios etc

There used to be someone at the TVR CC (Richard Sails?) who had info .. whether it was with the factory I cannot recall.

But with the demise of TVR I doubt any info is available.

The original owner would have the build receipt.

Some years ago ( maybe 10) there was a TVRCC weekend event in Blackpool and various local specialists were open for visits. At that time Lawfield Engineering in the old factory building had factory record books on display and I got a photocopy of the entries for my 400SE and for my T350. I do not know if Lawfield owned the records or if they were just on display. Try phoning Lawfield on 07810 018747.
If you cannot get through, their neighbours in the building D&C Trim, or Surface and Design may know how to contact Lawfield.

Aha! I’ve contacted Lawfield and they were very helpful - apparently TVRCC have all the records now so I’ll contact them

I am sure the chap with the T350 build records is as posted by " Coffinvalley " above. Email him. His name is Howard.

Right - paint colour. The 'BODY CODE' is 'JHV'

It appears to be a Jaguar colour - light blue in simple terms. Make any sense?
