Looks like theres at least 3 dealers with bids in
I hope it sells privately to an enthusiast. Although I can understand that many private buyers might be put off, and might prefer to buy from a dealer. But they will have to pay quite the premium for that privilege I think.

Without a doubt. If only you'd looked in the wanted ads before putting the car up Although I can understand that many private buyers might be put off, and might prefer to buy from a dealer. But they will have to pay quite the premium for that privilege I think.

I have requested a viewing but nothing back from CC.
ITS a pity because I'm looking for a new motor.
60k is a lot of money to spend plus £3600 fees
But I'm sure a dealer will pick it up
The request has not been passed on to me. ITS a pity because I'm looking for a new motor.

Incidentally, a recent buying guide for the Sagaris by Autocar (published February 2021) says to expect to pay "at least £65k" for one.
(That'll be a completely standard one, of course. It won't have a FFF2 head or Syvecs, etc.)

Hopefully it will sell to an enthusiast, not sure I can compete with a bidder with a username if F12TDF

Collecting cars certainly seems, to me anyway, a strange way to sell and buy cars but each to their own.
As a seller, it works for me. It is a halfway house between private sale, brokerage, and a full auction house. The 6% buyer's fee my seem a little steep but if you look at a bricks & mortar auction house there will be a seller's fee, a buyer's fee, a completion fee, a fee fee, a fee-fi-fo-fum fee, a we-just-thought-of-another fee, and then VAT on the fees, and all sorts. On some of the antiques auctions I look at, the buyer's fees can add up to around 27% although I accept that car auctions are maybe different (I've never been to one).
Anyway, it suited me to go this way.

Why not split the "buyers fee" between the purchaser and buyer, so you have a 3% buyer fee and 3% seller fee makes better sense to auction a car that way.
I don't know. I guess Collecting Cars want to attract sellers with the promise of no seller's fees. It's an illusion though, as the seller ends up paying the fee anyway as buyers will take the fee into account when bidding. So it's largely academic really. Clockwork Cupcake said:

You've not done bad there if you bought in the late £30ks, i did the same with Tuscans to a lesser extent, you expect the value to drop being second hand and they increase in value which is an unexpected pleasant surprise, although it must still be a wrench to part with after owning the car for all those years.
True, although I have spent a lot of money on it over the years. But, yes, I think I might (or might not) break even, not counting inflation etc. I'll be a little miffed if it goes for less than market value, especially given the FFF2 head, Syvecs, and other upgrades, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
It's definitely been a tough decision to sell, and I have had some amazing experiences with it, but it is time to move on. I'm simply not driving it enough to justify keeping it, and I would rather it went to someone who will drive it and have their own amazing experiences with it.

I must be missing something here, but why would anyone pay "dealer" prices or anywhere near them for a car on this auction site ????.
It look ( the biding) as dodgy as fucck to me.
Genuinely why do you think it’s dodgy ?It look ( the biding) as dodgy as fucck to me.
I’m currently the under bidder, bids are still 20% away from dealer prices - cheers
