Thank you again Phil.

Finally (I think), is therefore my understanding correct, that the total (1,200) number of V12V cars does include;

Dec. 2009 - Carbon Black (first) - Special Edition 192 cars,
2012 - Carbon Black (second) - Special Edition 82 cars,
2012 - Carbon Black - Limited Edition 40 cars (with numbered sill plaques) (Most to USA. 9 RHD. 31 LHD)
and
2013 - Centenary - Limited Edition 3 cars (with numbered sill plaques),

and therefore
all of the other V12V Limited and Special Edition models, are NOT included in the 1,200 total?

The V12V Coupe (manual) is a Limited Edition. Is my understanding correct, that they do NOT have numbered sill plaques?

Correct Jon!!

I have to sadly report that my V12 Vantage -- no 3 of 40 of the last 40 sent to the US, in Satin Black -- was lost to a fire a few weeks back. Initial indication are electrical failure of some sort in the dash.

Yes, the last numbered V12V manual 6sp is S01376 and was delivered new to Peru! The last cars were produced mid-2013.

Hi Phil, just a small correction.... my V12V numbered S01376 was delivered new to Chile not Peru.

Regards,

Pablo

Yes, I saw, a sorry end to a great car, hope there’s a quick resolution. Are there any 7sp manual V12V available in the US?
I’ll update the Register. I few have gone over the years cry

Of course, my apologies Pablo, and good to hear from you! That’ll teach me to post from memory rather than checking....doh!

5. The 82 CBE cars you mention is correct. These are Carbon Black II (two) Edition cars vins ranging from 866 to 1342 with plaques stating Carbon Black Edition.
Phil - hope you are well mate - as you know I have #889, so one of the 2012 Carbon Black II Edition cars. I have it on very (VERY) good authority that actually only 52 were made in total, (NOT 82) of which only 19 are RHD. So mine is one of 33 as it is LHD. If you want proof offline - so as not to embarrass my source - let me know.

Hi Liam, congrats on your acquisition and thanks for the post. Yes, 955’s record is complete, I presume you’ve purchased from AM Edinburgh?!

Hi there, good to hear from you, I’m well thanks.
Interesting post and I’d welcome looking through your proof. I have the full list of the 82 but just thinking quickly for the reason for 30 difference...... this may be the 30 USA “final edition” cars that had individual number plaques? I have these confirmed as CB II Editions also?
I look forward to ironing this anomaly out wink

I thought the (mostly) USA final edition (CB ll models) involved 40 cars, not 30.
There was a recent post mentioning these cars (fire damage loss), stating they were called Final 40 Edition, but I think that is simply a nickname. The numbered sill plaques do show '0xx of 40' 'CARBON BLACK', not Final 40 (see photo).
A sales advert for number 004 of 40, was referred to in the post.

http://www.automobilesetcetera.ca/en-CA/used/aston... coupe-2012-720383
(this link does not work properly, but when on their website, search for Aston Martin if you want to look.)

At present my table shows
CB ll = 82 cars, Special Edition.
CB ll = 40 cars, Limited Edition (Most to USA. 9 RHD. 31 LHD).

The comments above, make me wonder whether I am showing a double count?
Are the 40 cars perhaps included within the 82?

Thanks, yes, got it from AM Edinburgh. Delighted with it! How many manual Carbon Black editions were sold in the UK?

Cheers, Liam

Liam, that is a lovely looking car. It would be interesting to find out how many V12 Vantages there are north of the border

Engineers and Accountants are at the opposite ends of the scale. As you say, each to their own, but some people are fascinated in these things as I am.
I hope to convert you biggrin

I live on the NC500 route so see plenty of choice machinery on a daily basis but I rarely see any Astons passing through, let alone V12 Vantages! Must be a few owned here I’d guess though.
