Cheapest V8 Vantage Tyres?
Discussion
I have been using Bracknell Tyres (Bracknell, Berks) for 12 years. Always half the price of KwikFit or other local firms (other firms wont even quote if they know who you are comparing them to). Used them for porche spec Bridgestone tyres for 993 and Pirelli for Discovery.
No connection with them other than being a happy customer. Worth trying if you are not too far away.

Hi,
I work for etyres and I am also an AM owner. I hope this doesn't break forum rules to reply to this with prices.
The Bridgestone tyres that we supply definitely are the AM9 variant.
We also have the Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the correct sizes, although the fronts are not on our website we do definitely have them in stock.
235/40/19 £307.60
275/35/19 £390.60
We offer mobile fitting and electronic balancing included in the price. Where abouts in the country are you?
thanks,
Oli.
Oli, I may be missing something here but are you actually promoting yourself as the most expensive choice I work for etyres and I am also an AM owner. I hope this doesn't break forum rules to reply to this with prices.

Hi,
The prices I gave were for the Michelin Pilot Super Sport in the correct V8V sizes which the OP asked about. They are very new and quite hard to find but we do have them in stock. I don't think anyone else had posted any prices for these as the prices in the other posts were mainly for the Bridgestone RE050.
I mentioned Bridgestone because the RE050 that we supply and fit is definitely the AM9 variant as I fitted four to my V8 Vantage a few weeks ago. These are cheaper than the Michelins.
If you live in herts/beds/bucks, I would be able to get you a bit of discount and also would come and fit them myself for you. We might not be the cheapest but you know it is a first class job done by another AM owner who will use the jack in the right place, use a rubber protection cover on the jack, take your wheel nuts on and off by hand not an air-gun, use plastic protection tools not to mark the wheels, use the correct tyre pressure and do the wheelnuts up with a torque wrench to the correct tightness.

Micheldever Tyres in Hampshire offer the best rates on tyres I've ever seen, they also look after a lot of high end cars including my own and they have never dented or damaged my wheels changing tyres unlike the Monkeys at kwik Fit who will usually ruin 3 out of the 4 wheels
I think they hold the title of busiest tyre business in Europe but I may have that wrong, however they are as professional as I have ever seen from a tyre outfit and even give your wheels a complementary clean, you can also book a time slot so you don't have to wait with the other plebs argueing over the price of remoulds
Cambskill are also good, Michelin Suupersport which are the tyres of the moment and are getting rave reviews over anything Bridgestone make, prices as follows
245/40/19 £250.80
275/35/19 £316.70

I'm going to stick with the standard Bridgestone ones so I don't have to replace the whole lot yet as well as being the recommended tyre etc.
The best quote seems to be Event-Tyres at £600 for the pair, the car is in to Amersham in the next week or two anyway so have asked for a quote from them too.
To be honest I'm surprised they lasted so long, just a touch shy of 15,000 miles and they have just under 3mm left on them, fronts a little more.
ETA: Forgot to mention I asked a Kwik-Fit and was quoted £330 a tyre and takes a few days to order in, bit too much.

Any chance of a bit of discount Alan ??
Er that is discounted , for all you lovely PHers, At least we will not damage your TPM when changing the tyres which most (fitment centres end up doing) costing a £100 per corner for a new Valve.Any DBS or V12 drivers , let me know and i can give you prices .

Don't you ever remember the Walkers crisps advert in the 80s when the old Scottish fella said "you'll no be havin' a sale will ye?"
I knew that, and yes i remember, and why not, while you wait service , car gets washed, nice coffee, some cars to look at , a salesman trying very hard to get you to change your car, and me trying to sell you a service plan or something.Don't you ever remember the Walkers crisps advert in the 80s when the old Scottish fella said "you'll no be havin' a sale will ye?"
Boy you are missing out :-)
