That was me suggesting not volunteering wink
As it is local to you maybe you could do it and order in some bacon butties a well wink
I may not make it as we are in the Pryenees & Alps for 2-3 weeks in the Autumn driving
Who ever takes it on needs to avoid the school holidays to prevent mayhem wink

I'm actually moving up to Aberdeen with work in June, therefore I too vote for Scotland...

There are some fantastic roads up that way, it really would be rude not to.

Buttertubs can get very busy
I've never known Buttertubs to be busy but I haven't been over during the school holidays. There are some excellent roads in that area, hence the plethora of motorcycles. Some roads may feel rather narrow for the unaccustomed however smile

+1 some are worse than the narrowest on the N Wales run!

Or... and bear with me... A quick jaunt over La Manche through the tunnel and a drive around northern France?

Opinions? confused
Too far! It's over 300 miles just to Dover for me, then add in probably 200 miles in France and 300+ back. Best part of 1k miles done eek

Really good idea le Yeti, so long as you can get a few numbers.

And the fact that it is too far for Georgio...well...cake meet icing, icing meet cake biggrin

NEVER organise a meet up around the Georgeous One wink

I think I have to make it one of my life goals to meet George. He sounds like an enigma.

800 for us though it may have been less if my Sat Nav had left me on the M6 for a while longer instead of insisting I took in the scenic delights of Cheshire on the way to Wales.smile

It's not the distance for me, it's the tedium of dragging through the south of England. Now 300 miles up to the Highlands is a different matter...

I find it less tedious when you're driving in a convoy, somehow just seems to make mundande M-way work a pleasure smile

Indeed I won't work a trip around george... sounds like he's got a reputation for being a no-show...

Plus that lifetime 10k mile limit on his DB9, he needs to STOP DRIVING IT NOW!!!

Over 4100 miles to go - enough for 2 years more smile

Think of it like a motorbike. Take it out for say 50-100 miles only on sunny weekends. 2k miles per year is perfectly acceptable then smile

grumpy

I've done the trip down to Dover before in the ML. It's so unbelivably dull sleep

I used to enjoy the tunnel runs around London in the TVRs on a sunday morning, mad childish grins all day but I guess it's just not the done thing in a group of Astons. nuts
