After the demise of DMS I took my V8V to Bridge Hill Motors in Macclesfield for its 4th service and they did a great job at a very reasonable price. They went through exactly what they did and what was found. Stripped my brakes and using some 'magic' grease I get no brake squeal at all now, whereas before I had to use the brakes a few times to get rid of it.
I waited while the car was being serviced as I had travelled from Derby, but with a Wetherspoons around the corner I could work from there with my laptop.
Thoroughly recommended

I took my V8V in for it's 6 year service and I was also very impressed by the service friendliness and cost.
Will be taking it back there for a few things that need looking at but couldn't face being ripped off by Stratstones!!
And I also supported the local economy by sitting in wetherspoons for a few lime and sodas.
P S don't let the satnav try and take you there!! It can't find it. Had to use my iphone.
Don't you just love Astons!!!

Yes they certainly are well hidden. I don't use the Aston sat nav, my Tom Tom found them ok.

How do their servicing prices compare to Stratstone?

They are about half Stratstones list price for servicing. I paid £541 + VAT for a 4 year V8V service, which I was happy with

Just booked the N400 in for a 4 year service on 31st May, will update experience afterwards.

Have done 4000 miles this year on pads that JCT said "needed replacing" and Rick DMS said were fine just 1 week and 200 motorway miles before. So expect new pads needed this time around.

Thanks.

Does the car have to be serviced at Stratstone if it is under AM warranty?

Hi there guys I felt that this really needed a mention, I've just returned from Bridge Mill Motors after having 2 new front springs fitted and one of my front parking sensors rehoused after falling out, which meant having the whole front bumper off.
All work done, excellent job, great bunch of guys that are really helpful and informative, for which nothing is too much trouble, they definately get my reccomendation and future work, and I've got a list for them to attack. thumbup

Mine was there on Thursday to have it's oil and plugs changed.

They were really good. I may well be taking it to them for regular servicing as it's about 40 miles from me.

Also, you can walk into the town in 5 minutes and have a tool round whilst they do it.

All the feedback I'm getting is positive here, Adrian, so I'm looking forward to trying them over the next few months !! smile

You've just got it back from Leeds Phil. What are you expecting to go wrong next?
