I love these "wonderful" predictions of values only going in one direction. This all lasts until the next correction in the market and then it's all downhill from there. It took the best part of 40 years for DB4 and DB5s to recover to above their sales prices back in the 1960ties and I think we are not far away from the next bubble. There is an awful lot of fluff in the market. It might be that manual V12s are few and far between but we might have a complete ban on large polluting engines in inner cities in a couple of years time and then we are all buggered. Buy the car you like (for cash) and residuals is something you get when you come to sell it as it buys you nothing in between.
I'm 100% with you chum. I own a manual DBS, and frankly I don't really give a rats arse what it's worth until I sell it. That may be next month, it may be in a couple of decades, I haven't made my mind up. But one things for sure, if I could have a straight swap for an 8 spd Vanquish, I'd do it in a heartbeat. It simply is a better car if you take the emotive subject of the gearbox out of the equation. I'm not sure hanging on to a legacy car just because it's a manual is what I'm all about. Still, each to their own etc. Have a good evening all. Glad your amused......why....I would have no idea.....is it because I will get an S.....and I will.......or the fact I will give bins a shout about getting an 8 speed......?
Maybe you have realised that your car although rare will only attract a limited clientele.....should you come to sell it......I never took you to being on the side of future values etc with regards cars....if that is the case...you had better stop driving it and wrap it up in cotton wool.....
