is it confirmed by AM that they will only build 101 V12Rs?
has production ceased? V12R is still a "Limited Edition" model on the Vantage page: http://www.astonmartin.com/cars/the-vantage-range/...

Think Brital has got a fantastic deal there - especially as his DBS is a matching colour. The price it was advertised at was amazing compared to the other V12VR's and I thought was too low but I guess that Grange got what they wanted with the car moving to a good home quickly.
See the white one has already dropped £6k and the black one looks like it has gone because that seems to have disappeared from the adverts. I wonder what price it went for? Do like the look of the skyfall silver car though.
Congratulations once again and welcome to a very special club - within a very special club!

guarantee that only 101 will be sold to customers, one or two remain in AML's hands for posterity/future test beds, etc
definitely not still for sale despite as you say being on their website

Well, one year later and the Flame Orange Roadster was back at Grange, but this time with 4k miles and a c£40k lower price. It's coming home with me now, to join my DBS Carbon Coupe in the same colour.
I did p/x my V8VSR. I had tested a V12VR last year, and almost bought a Tungsten cancelled order that was at Lancaster in Reading. The V12 actually has a better ride than the V8 S and may well be AM's last stick shift. Although it is shift-by-wire, it is still a great action - compares happily with my DB7 GT. Yes, I am sure there will be a V12 VSR but it will have paddles. It too is a great shift - just not quite the same. But the colour and spec made this a no brainer - even before factoring in that Lloyd was asking a less than 2 other dealers for less well spec'd cars. Only 1 of those is still listed. Apologies to those who called Lloyd after I had staked my claim.
Judging by the number of folk who came to look at the DBS at Sherborne and Wilton last year, and their comments, I think those who worried about the viability of the colour can be braver next time! But it will not be back on the market anytime soon: it's going to be too much fun to drive!

incidentally, Bramley tweeted pics a week or so ago of an amethyst red V12VR which looked stunning, can't figure out if it was for sale or not - it's not on their website. Ametheyst was my '3rd choice colour' when I specced my car, behind a 'vintage' Aston green and my eventual choice of ceramic grey. I'd love an amethyst aston though at some stage - it's a great colour. As is yours of course ! :-)
