Checked her over for damage, I had her under the car port last night (the car) and we had very high winds, apparently up to 80mph according to this mornings local news reports.. blew parts of the roof off, mostly in to the field next door frown But, thankfully, no damage to the Aston smile

Glad to hear it - that must be a relief.
Luckily mine’s in a nice dry solid brick garage.

Wow ,that's a great looking garage Chilli...bespoke was it ?
Looks like it's not just the roof that blew off .....you may not have noticed that the doors have also blown away.
Pleased to hear the Aston's ok. smile

was quite funny and gave me a chuckle too. Nothing wrong with a DIY carport -Although It does look like during the storm my Grandads Rover got blown in by accident.

You rotten bds. Right, it’s not a DIY carport, and that’s not someone’s granddad’s car either, it was my daughters and I’ve just had it MOT’d. The Aston would have been in the garage (the brick one not the wooden one with no doors and half the roof missing) but it’s occupied by my old MGB roadster and the Chim.

Rotten sods....
hehe

Some delightful git keyed mine before Christmas

Decided to get the boot patched up too

Decided to get the wheels done while I was at it

Got the rear grill bead blasted and powder coated

Still looks great at 12 years old!

83,216 miles in and the original clutch finally changed her last gear..

What to replace it with?

Well you're obviously capable of driving without prematurely destroying the standard clutch so that remains an option. However, if you are interested in the car performing to it's true potential then it has to be a twin plate with lightened flywheel.

I think the spacers have upset the stance of the car somewhat.

After 2 long months, the Vantage came back from the body shop. The paint is all good, the sill fitting not so much - it'll be sorted in a few weeks when it gets serviced. Plans are afoot for some enhancements, we'll see how that goes biggrin

Regardless of the weather, it's a day out tomorrow to the workshop to work on the Corvette. One day I'll get a photo opportunity with both cars.

I thought that when I first saw it advertised, only a three hour job as well, quite expensive but then what with an Aston isn't!

Love the lights. Been trying to fit an Audi tail light innards to get the sweeping turn signal. Might have to go this way.

Quick off topic was following a DB11 at a track day and noticed when they hit the brakes they would flash quickly a few times before going solid. This is normal?
