Looks great - but it is a replica.

Shouldn't spoil your trip though. Looks to have been fun.
At the speed we were travelling we couldn't tell if it was "real" or not - looked and sounded superb though smile

Superb looking car. Will the DB11 Volante look and/or be as good?

Mine had an electronic birthday card from the dealership in the form of a service/MOT reminder. So I thought I should buy it a birthday present to be opened once the man with the torch and the rubber gloves has finished his invasive probing.

Yesterday I swopped my 2009 4.7 V8 Vantage manual for my new V12 Vantage S manual at AM Sevenoaks.

They look very nice, can I ask where they were purchased from ?

I am thinking of maybe a sneaky man maths upgrade soon.

Took my freshly-rebuilt car on a 3-day rally over the weekend. Still some things to touch up, so it's not completely done, but it's back to driving condition after my little tire wall incident wink

It's an '07 V8V manual, with a mix of parts from the N420, V12VS, AMR race cars, my own Redpants parts, and aftermarket parts from other companies like VelocityAP, BC Forged, Wilwood, etc. Doesn't have a front lip in the pic - my replacement VCollection lip was lost by UPS... Here's a better pic of the front end:

I'll be doing full coverage of the car once it's actually complete if anyone's curious as to what's gone into it.

Well there wasn't much choice, biggrin but its Viridian Green V12VSM lightweight seats, lots of carbon bits including bonnet vents and lightweight seats, alcantara steering wheel. Its quite different to anything I've had before. Its also been de-cated by Aston Martin so its a bit louder than normal.

The Bristol one? The lightweight seats were a must in my search. That's a vivid green. Glad you got it otherwise you might be left with just the horrible China grey ones, without lightweights, and when spending that much money you want to be happy with the specification.

Did the PDC at Millbrook yesterday in a V8 Vantage sportshift. A truly excellent day and I learnt so much more about how the car works and how to get the best from it. And to top it off the "spirited" run around the alpine circuit at the end truly showed the car's capability which is well beyond my capabilities. It also proved that the V8 Vantage is faster around the Alpine circuit than the DB11 in a capable drivers hands as we steadily caught it up on the last time around with two pro drivers in charge.
If you haven't done it you must since it really will improve your driving ability even if you drive the car well within it's limits

Myself and the mrs are booked in for the 8th July. Did you stick with just the V8 Vantage?

Yes, i have a V8 Vantage and wanted to understand my car better. The whole thing is about getting you at one with the car so changing cars wasn't really anything I'd considered. There was only myself and one other chap on the day with our dedicated cars (he had a DB11) and our own dedicated instructors. I'm sure if we had asked then we could have swapped during the day so if your doing it with your Mrs then they will tailor the day to what you want and so you could swap between yourselves. Give them a ring ahead of time and I'm sure they will accommodate what you want.
