So what have you done with your Aston today?

Fixed my air con this morning, very happy. It’s been very temperamental recently, working for 5 minutes then not, and sometime when turned off it would stay on. After some investigating I decided that I was going to have to remove the AC clutch and adjust the air gap by removing some shims. Thankfully, the fix was much simpler than that! 2 simple fixes in 2 days!
Problem 1 - no radio for 3 days.
Solution 1 - press power button harder (I kid you not, just because the button clicks, doesn’t mean it’s pressed properly)
Problem 2 - as described above
Solution 2 - Spray with copious amounts of brake cleaner! Freed it up nicely. The compressor is mounted so low it must get battered with road filth that will gum up it movement. I sprayed it with the engine running, and now it clunks in and out as it should.
Just waiting to see what breaks next....

Set off very early and had a clear hour & a half run down which was just as well because the number of people turning up reminded me of the Revival meeting. The Supercar Sunday is probably the most popular Sunday event but I think it's become a victim of its own success. They've tried to limit numbers with online ticketing but there were literally thousands there. I gave up the idea of a bacon roll because the queues were so long and I don't think I'll do another of these Sundays. A pity because they were fun in previous years without so much congestion.
Lots & lots of Ferraris & McLarens but I couldn't see a single Pagani or Bugatti which surprised me. The was a DBS Volante which I thought looked really beautiful and stood out from the other modern stuff.

They look great. I assume the FS seats are your old ones? Were the new seats dealer sourced?ace of the base said:

Agreed. Another Goodwood event that is less fun now it is more popular. Great day for a drive down but queues for coffee and bacon were way too long. Trip up to Gaydon with early start from Kent, Regs cafe at Banbury and saw new Vantages in flesh (first time for non GTE version). Looked great but not keen on US rear extensions. Afternoon tour to Prodrive - very busy on various Vantages (hope to see a few of them next week) and good to see winning DBR9 and then home on busier motorways.

A race against time with one in particular !
Uncanny that the collision was with Adrian Newey's son.
I was involved in a crash Dad, which wrote off an Aston Martin. Not as pretty as the one you designed though.
Lots of transition going on there as saw Nurburgring 24 GT3 V12 car, 97 (again - was in factory foyer at last year's tour), a 97 wrap up job, some other old ones, one for the Festival and the DBR9 and some new and very new ones and a new one that I'd rather not have seen - bit different to factory display one
Vanquish is getting detailed, Pav's a perfectionist, I cannot wait to see it in the sun
