So what have you done with your Aston today?

Yes we stayed at Fuente De but ours was a group of 1 Aston, a Ferrari, a Lotus and a Porsche. We did bump into a group of 6 20's/30's (and one replica) Bentley's in Santa Domingo de la Calzada, what a way to tour!
They must be coming to the end of their tour. We saw them as we were heading off to Le Mans from Plymouth and they were starting a three week tour of Spain and France. All from Devon and Cornwall I think.Gingernuts said:
After a full winter rebuild I have mostly just been driving it!!
Constant small upgrades since, the next of which will be bigger arbs and a change of tyres, also some new discs as the 2 piece items I put on warped pretty quick. So will add some cooling when I get a gt4 front splitter with cut outs
Love it! do you have a blog or more details on what you have done so far?Constant small upgrades since, the next of which will be bigger arbs and a change of tyres, also some new discs as the 2 piece items I put on warped pretty quick. My V8V arrived yesterday with all bits customised so today just spent time reading handbook and a drive to get used to how Aston do things.
Bit different to a Cerb TVR to Aston.... Hooligan to Gentleman in one go enjoy and welcome to the club Chilli

Not a blog as such but I put some stuff on my instagram: ali__robertson (two underscores) feel free to have a look there.most of the hard work is done and major changes, only the half cage now to go in and some set up tweeks.
Yesterday actually, I collected my V8 Vantage from Bamford Rose, having left it with them on Monday 2nd. before going to the Le Mans Classic.
Whilst i was away they replaced my disintegrating clutch with one of their twin plate versions, along with a lightened flywheel and new release cylinder. They also fixed one of the gearbox bell cranks which had worked slightly loose on it's hexagonal shaft and applied their short shift modification.
I'm delighted with the result, a much lighter clutch pedal, easier gear selection, along with a snappier change.
The problem had been intermittent apparent clutch drag during gear changes. We now know that this was caused by the centre plates of the driven plate becoming partially loose due to some of the riveting failing. This allowed the loose plate to rub against the pressure plate, thus causing the drag. You can see the mark caused by the rubbing on the centre plate. It wouldn't have been long before all the riveting failed. This would have caused the clutch to jam up completely with god knows what consequences.
I'll try to post a picture of the clutch plate and one or two of the car (2007 4.3 Vantage 26741 miles Manual 'box Prodrive engine and exhaust upgrades)
