Out of interest Bob, was Vesuvius sold with all mods still on or back to standard spec.?
Peter hi, Unfortunately to qualify for the AM Timeless warranty the power upgrades have to be returned to standard. I don't doubt BR would be happy to repeat the upgrade if the new owner so desires (I know I would be there like a shot).

Mr T, thank you for your kind words, praise indeed from one so discerning.

The Vantage was in the back of the garage and blocked by the DB11. So when I got it out thought a picture of the Vantage and the DB11 was in order. The DB11 is quite a car but still love the Vantage.

Instead of going to work as planned I spent the morning stripping the door after the window got stuck fully down. Off to the dealer tomorrow, probably won’t get it back this side of New Year.

Oh, the joys of Aston ownership...

Is yours a Carbon Black Liam? You have the same interior spec as mine leather with Alcantara, seats and steering wheel.

Yeah, Carbon Black. It’s a nice spec.

I’m afraid it’s days are numbered now, just too many niggles and failures. Compounded by the fact I’m a day away from the nearest dealer...

Hi Liam,

Have you managed to get the window out? Is the window mechanism working. The reason I ask, 2 weeks ago I had a problem when my window dropped into the door when it worked loose from the window mountings. After a staggering outlay of £1.40p smile I managed to get 2 x bolts and re-seated/aligned windows.

Regards
D

My problem seems to be the wire rope has jumped off one of the white plastic guide wheels at the top right of the door as seen in that pic. I can see it with my inspection camera but can’t reach it to pull it back on. There doesn’t seem an obvious way to get to it but there surely must be. Any ideas?

Collected my V8V from Pugsley & Lewis in Beckenham, they took care of its annual service. Everything checked out ok so all good for another year cool have to say that they presented the car in pristine condition due to an excellent valet, the best it’s looked in a long time smile
They have a fantastic workshop which is filled with some awesome restoration projectscool highly recommend them if you are looking for somewhere to service your car in the southeast smile

Ps forgot the obligatory picturesweeping did not bother when I got home as it was in a right state due to the poor weather rolleyes

If the cable has come off the pulley, it will need a replacement regulator. The cable cannot come off unless something is broken.

Made an "Elbow Rest" for my V8V (as I didn't fancy spending £153 x 2 for the authorised versions).

Came out very well. Used top quality leather (from ebay for £5), some foam and wood.
