Collected it.

Quite stressful drive through central London to get home. Not the ideal environment for familiarisation.

A fairly quiet weekend - but started a small video project with the Vanquish. The briefest of smallest of snippets is here, more to come: https://youtu.be/iiC_iFF6GnE

Very professional Jon.

Is your camera being held by hand for those very steady panning shots, or was it done using a special device of some kind?

Thank you thumbup
I use a powered slider on a rail - it's becoming more common practice these days in vlogging (it's an evolution of what's used in proper film making, but quite low cost luckily). Slowly I'm building up an arsenal of equipment to cater for each eventuality - fortunately it's starting to pay off and the quality's going in the direction I'm happy with. I was a bit gutted about my last video with the Corvette; some half-insightful info was scuppered by some schoolboy error focus issues. Lesson learnt on that front hehe

I'm looking forward to filming the main chunk of it over the next couple of weekends.

Ahh a garage like mine - except I'd need to lose 2 stone to get out of yours! Welcome back mate - delighted you have an Aston again as it was sad family times when you got rid of your previous one if I remember right. That should bring a smile smile

(Yesterday):

Took it for a few spins. One passenger at a time makes for more journeys. Managed to light up the traction control in 3rd on a straight road which was slightly damp. Hairy.

And proved to myself that you can get a road bike frame plus wheels in the back. Phew!

I have just spent a very pleasant morning at Cambridge Aston Martin having an MOT done.
They have some lovely cars there at the moment, especially the Vanquish S Ultimate.
I wish my bank balance was healthier :-)

Yesterday (Friday) took the V12V S out and got a few pics in the sun. Still gives me a big smile every time I drive it! First pic I've uploaded on here, so forgive me if it doesn't work first time...

Picked my car up from HWM after it's first year service. According to the service report my front brake pads are 20% warn and the rears 50%, I assume this is due to traction control constantly kicking in smile

What excellent taste you have. Love the yellow tang. Not that I’m biased of course...

Thanks very much. As a photographer you'll know what I mean when I say some colours work well in photos (like my previous Volcano Red Aston), others don't show so well, and I'd say Yellow Tang is the latter. But to me it looks great in the flesh in sunlight.

Yep - that yellow tang is amazing! Love it cool

Did somebody mention Volcano Red? Just returned from a family trip with time away from the Vantage. I cleaned it before tucking it up prior to leaving. The reveal today when I returned still gave me goosebumps. But then, I am a child bounce
