Driver side window drop problem

Definitely wrong. Was it like that when you bought it? Must be an alignment issue; at a guess, door card off and fiddle about, but I'm no expert.I am however familiar with the window's failure to drop/rise on operating the door - mine stopped doing it twice which means that when you shut the door the glass is strained outside the rubber edging. First fix was to pull and refit the relevant fuse in the passenger footwell, the second was the simpler button up/down for 5 secs each way.
Thanks. did the reprograming both with the fuse out and the regular way, none changed anything. Also when putting extra cloth in to make the window stop early during re-calibration, it basically seemed to ignore that. Curious fact #1
on the mismatch of the two glasses: I will try with lifting the strike plate a bit, but not too confident this will fix it.
strange thing is that neither the door itself, nor the window seems to have any issue with too much play or wearing, so I'm still hoping some small adjustments or reprogramming will do

Hi there, just bought my 2009 DB9 and found (almost) similar issue:
on passenger side everything works (not sure if reprogramming does at is worked prior and after...tried to artifically tell it to stop earlier by putting an extra cloth in, that didnt change anything)
on driver side nothing seems to work + (and maybe the most worrying part) the glass slightly collides with the rear glass on the very top edge.
As if
- either the door or window would be sagging a bit or
- the window stops too late and therefore (when touching the edge of the frame further up front) pushes itself further towards the back of the car, leading to that overlap with the rear (b-pillar) window.
Anyone ever faced similar problem?
Cheers, Stefan
PS: have some tape on the rear window to not have the windows clash glass to glass when I happen to close with window fully up.
That door glass is massively misaligned. You need to adjust that first (fairly simple, interior handle off and find the 2 Torx Screws) it can be a fiddle but doable. Just don't drop the socket or Torx bit! on passenger side everything works (not sure if reprogramming does at is worked prior and after...tried to artifically tell it to stop earlier by putting an extra cloth in, that didnt change anything)

tbh I suspect the issue is within the handle sensor. As the drop is triggered by the sensor in the lock / external handle mechanism, so I would check that the sensor isn't misaligned or disconnected.

Thanks alot, will take that advice and will update once I have news on this.tbh I suspect the issue is within the handle sensor. As the drop is triggered by the sensor in the lock / external handle mechanism, so I would check that the sensor isn't misaligned or disconnected.
So the dealership fixed the overlap issue by „a simple mechanical adjustment“ (let’s see what that means in actual money 😳
Only for the window auto open/close mechanism during door open/close they say the module is faulty, 650€ to exchange incl Labour , but not available at the moment.
Any advice on alternative parts or other fixes?
Cheers, Stefan

Any advice on the OEM part number at least? Really left a bit stranded with the dealer saying they dont have it available.
I've found Nicholas Mee to be very helpful - you might be able to get help from their Parts dept: https://www.nicholasmee.co.uk/So I opened the door, found my module part number/type but apparently even if anyone had the exact same, it would still require reprogramming.
Now what I found strange is that there is a little switch at the door handle (see image), but I cant find a part number even as part of the harness or anyone talking about this may be a reason of failure. Any experiences with this?
