I emailed powerflex a couple of days ago and they just said the bushes are "pending" with no date for release... hopefully they're just waiting for the valiant scotsman to give the thumbs up?

It'd be great if BR / DAE etc start offering these as an item that can be done at service.

I am interested with Powerflex bushes for rear lower arms too ...
which are very damaged at 80000kms ! and adds a lot of induced steering to the sporty driving !
(i think the stiffest OEM arm is DG43-5B531-AB)

my upper arms were much worse than on the picture above !!! all cut around the axis, and you can't see it from the outside...

(i already now have V12VS upper arms that are the OEM stiffest) wink

I am ready to test !

Hi Ali,

a bit of feedback on how you how found these compared to OEM would help.

That's pretty good pricing, especially when you look at the complexity of the lower front and rear wishbone bushes. Well done Powerflex.

The rear ARB bushes for a Sports Pack car from AM are £120 incl the VAT, Powerflex are £22.45.

Also, they are not shown on the Valiant-Ecosse website. Mind you, nothing at all is on their website apart from a free vehicle check and some replica carbon splitters! Something does not seem right here?

DAE have announced on their Instagram page that they'll be offering an exchange wishbone service which includes the new Powerflex bushes.
You leave your car with them, they remove your old wishbones and fit replacement vapour blasted wishbones complete with this new gen of Poweflex installed. They retain your old wishbones to refurb.

Having used Powerflex products for years, I can thoroughly recommend them. I would most certainly use them for any bushes that need replacing on my car but maybe not just for the sake of it. Always replace them as axle sets, so if your rear lower nearside bush was to fail, I would do both offside and nearside lower rears to keep both sides of the car bushed the same.

I would like to know which sets, the standard purple, or the blacks are the closest to original compliance so that in a partial re-bush, I would know which to use. In most Powerflex applications, the purples are close to stock and the blacks are "uprated".

Gerry.

Damn, that's awesome! DB bushes too.
If the DBS sticks around then I'll do doing the rear on my car. It creaks like crazy when cold.

If bushing noise is of concern, I suggest to install grease nipples together with the polyurethane bushes.
Then you can grease once a year and avoid squeeky issues.

Thanks, I've fitted poly bushes to several of my old tracked cars and they're really one of the best things you can do. I'm just glad we don't need to go down the line of replacing entire wishbones. That's madness.
