You will be surprised regarding pure racing cars. I friend of mine races in the Lamborghini Blancpain Series. He has 3 Lamborghini GT3 cars (Huracan and Galardo) and none of these have lost any money (despite having been in the armco I don't know how many times).
I think he's been telling you porkies...

this one is 100k down already...

The 991 GT3 RS is a track tool and not really a collectors item. Porsche has produced more than 8000 of them.
I track my GT3 RS regularly and it is a better car after a track day.
8000? really? where is that figure from?

Whenever i track my gt3's they are a worse car after a track day.

What am i doing wrong? biggrin

Has anyone been keeping a record of UK delivery numbers,
and how many have already been sold, or advertised for sale?

These tools :
- Tray. GD2Y V17009 A
- Retainer Tool GD2Y 70508 AB

What is the center wheel nut tightening torque ?

I've been keeping a log of cars I've seen. Here's what I have for RHD UK customer cars:

40 - cars delivered and individually identified by separate VRM/VINs
10 - cars delivered and individually identified but VRM/VINs not obtained
06 - cars I know of still in the pipeline / coming soon

The numbers above don't include the test mule, the launch car, the press car or the 2 pre-pro cars (which have now been reassigned as Andy and Darren's cars, GT08BOS and GT08AMR respectively).

I have quite a few images of further cars (mostly Stirling/Lime examples) which remain unidentified. They could be duplicates so they aren't included in the counts, but in reality there's probably at least another 5 cars within those images.

Furthermore, its highly unlikely I am aware of every car out there so, realistically, I reckon there will probably be circa 70-80 UK cars...

My registry for worlwide cars lists 45 UK RHD Customers cars + 1 press car + 2 pre-productions (now GT08 BOS and GT08 AMR). - It does include very few cars which haven't been delivered yet (incl. mine)
- it doesn't include 3-4 cars in Stirling Green for fear of double-counting as they are similarly spec'd. (there are 7 in stirling green included in the 45)

So, all in all there are a total approx 50-55 UK cars, definitely not 70-80.

How many Stirling green cars do you have in your count AOK? Maybe you have counted some of the re-registered GT8s (i.e. those flipped straight after first delivery)?

I have it in my head that the launch car was LHD (and I assume became the European press car). Have I mis-remembered that?

You can only be as sure of your data as I am of mine! wink

I've been made aware of 2 more physical cars + I didn't know you had one coming. As such, my UK RHD customer list now looks like this:

41 (of which 10 Stirling Green HS) - cars delivered and individually identified by separate VRM/VINs
11 (of which 02 Stirling Green HS) - cars delivered and individually identified but VRM/VINs not obtained
07 (of which ?? Stirling Green HS) - cars I know of still in the pipeline / coming soon

There are at least 2 more Stirling Green HS cars in my "unidentified" pile which can't be any of the above due to alloy/winglet/roof/decklid combinations, but keeping them out of the count just in case. The following are excluded from the above count:

KW65WJM - Test mule (still being driven around, spotted recently)
KU16EJV - now GT08BOS
KU16EJZ - now GT08AMR, apparently
KS16WVG - LHD launch car
GT08AML - RHD press car
XXXXXXX - RHD Grey with Orange Asia dealer car

All 10 of the Stirling Green HS customer cars for which I have identities are (as of today) showing as having 0 previous keepers. They are also all taxed, so cannot be 'passed to trade'. In fact, of all 41 cars I have identified there is only 1 car which (by DVLA records) has definitely changed hands, and it's a little known black car.

We are aligned in regards of those 10 (3 of those are Auto transmission + 4 Manual + 3 un-identified). Do you have the limited edition number of those too, by any chance? I only have 4 of the 10

Question about GT8 exhaust valve... Yes, yes it doesn't need to be louder... But...

On my Vantage Roadster I had a switch installed to open or close the exhaust valve, and on my Vanquish I just have the fuse out and permanent noise - but even still it's not too much.

The dream world would be a switch with 2 modes; how it is in Sport and just always open - whereby it wouldn't be valved at slow speeds and low revs. Obviously the latter system would not be London friendly so it isn't really an option to do it 24/7. The other would be to just pull the valve for the road trip coming up and put it back in afterwards. Has anybody come across clever ideas for this yet?

I'm sure Bamford Rose or AM Works could do something fairly easily. It's just wiring in a 2-stage switch (simplifying it massively).
