So loud and louder - sounds like a plan.
My V12 has a 2 way switch as Beef has suggested which is overruled by the sports button.
Seeing as both exhaust systems have no secondary cats that would surely work and avoid drone on longer journeys.
Will spk to works - group buy ?

In what way do you mean the Sport button overrules? When you turn it off it goes back to being quiet?

I'm thinking of doing something as soon as I find the idea or system that works so if you'd consider it too then please do see what we can find out!

Misunderstanding my end; I thought we were discussing some aftermarket system already in use there but I appreciate just in reference to the standard configuration which I agree has different valve settings for Normal vs Sport. Although my Vanquish is now just loud or loud; it makes no difference with open fuse, the problem is that the GT8 with that would simply be overkill!

As Tony says but sometimes u might not want sports on but just the noise without having to pull any fuses which I think is what Tim wants.
So the button on my V12S switches on the even noiser noise but doesn't activate sports. Hitting the sports button then obviously retains the nosier noise but also activates sports mode.
I know what I mean even if I'm not articulating it that well and think the same will work on the GT8.

Bingo! That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Time to fire an e-mail his way, and count down the days until it's fitted. Thank you so much for the link.

My pleasure Tim smile

Ive had one on the V12S for a year.

Just had a chat with the UK supplying dealer on my pals behalf (I am more excited than he is for sure) and have been told that his GT8 will go into production 3 weeks from now.

It is SGHS Plus more paint from Q.

How long do they take to complete from that point?

In the case of mine, from start of production line build until being in my possession was approximately 3-4 weeks. I delayed it a little more then by installing PPF and other gubbins but that's the basic outline for build, shakedown, delivery, PDI etc.

Sorry im confused by this. This devices makes the exhaust louder but doesn't put the car into sport mode? If so what does the sport button do other than make the exhaust louder?

A delicious spec though. Would have looked even better with yellow lipstick I reckon, a la N430

The sport button also adjusts the throttle mapping to give a greater level of throttle for less pedal movement, hence tricking you into having a heavy right foot and thus making the car feel faster. Some people like this and others dont - hence a device like this (or indeed just pulling the fuse) is a preferable option. Im in the camp who dislike the revised throttle map.

Oh and this and the fuse removal method both avoid the need to press the sport button every time you get in the car.

I'd definitely be interested in one of these if they just slot straight into the GT8 like they do the regular Vantages - that sound at 4k revs is addictive!

I don't see why it wouldn't.

I pulled my fuse (just a lowly GT here, without the 8, but the electronics should be the same). My dealer told me the exhaust valves can eventually stick open without use and to put the fuse back in once in awhile. So this seems like a great option..

Mine has already been dispatched so I will install it as soon as I get home on Friday - will report back on success!
