Of all the photos on the day this is my favourite. The man in the middle is Sqn Ldr Allan Scott, Battle of Britain veteran who shot down 13 enemy aircraft in Spits during WW2. He spoke for 15 mins but everyone in the room could have listened to him all day. Total legend.

These are quite possibly the nicest looking specials AM have knocked out in a long long time. Simply stunning!

Lovely looking set of specials.

Good video but why oh why when they have the soundtracks of Merlin and V12 engines do they have to put music over the top.

Saw the video of these on facebook and loved them! Appreciate there's a sea of special editions being dragged out here but genuinely a fan of this, looks very classy and a nice hark to 'traditional' colours.

You can take a look behind the scenes at how Spitfire80 was made in this new film. I might be in it too but don't let that put you off https://lnkd.in/gKQRmb5

Interesting to watch and as said before a lovely looking edition of the Vantage, well done to AM Cambridge.

Only other comment would be can there not be an option to have the music off especially when the Spitfire or the Vantage are being used. There isn't another sound like the Spitfire and to drown it out with music is a shame.

This image with the sun hitting the car when we opened the hanger doors brings the colour to life. It looks almost black in poor light, but in natural sunlight the colour just pops. Can't wait to share our next project with you - all will be revealed at St Athan on 9th April - hope to see you all there.

Thanks Paddy - I think our next project is going to top it though.....

Not sure if you have seen it but this film goes behind the scenes on how we made Spitfire 80 - we used the same helicopter the BBC used to make 'Coast' to capture the air to air/air to ground imagery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqKovtYJyc0

I think you're going to have to go some to top it. The spitfire carries so much weight and envokes so much emotion. You only had to look at the faces of many of the guys on here at the first Burghley event when the planes went over.

Bob, you should've got one. You could've part ex'd the cygnet lol.

how did you come up with Duxford Green? Is it a completely new colour?
