My local AM dealer is leaving me frustrated for reasons I won't document.

After a few conversations/ e mails with potential alternatives including a couple of well know indies, AM works are giving me the warmest feeling. They are a bit of a journey but I'm happy to travel for the customer service I'm looking for.... so the question I'm asking is who uses them and what do you think of the service they offer?

Thanks gent's

Kevin

ps... the title should read servicing

I've used them for my DB9 and my Rapide (I find the main dealer network a bit underwhelming and downright expensive for servicing)

Service has been good from Works, they pick up and deliver the car back (even though we're just outside the official range for free transport). Price is competitive, albeit like all places they do like to find a few advisories

The only minor blemish is that they did miss some water ingress on the Rapide at the last service (sorted out by another dealer). But no dealer is perfect

I've used them for the past 6 years and have found them much better than the local dealer.
They will do a fixed price service which is worth discussing as they do like to find and charge for extras, no different from other dealers though.
The mechanics are very experienced and more competent in my opinion

I'm not an AM owner but I have lived next to AM Works for 6 years and must say the workshop is spotless!

They are top people. I can only say good things about David Web. Don't let them wash your car though!!

I have heard excellent reviews about Bridge Mill Garage near Manchester area who are Aston Indie specialists. Know of a few folk who use them and they are hooked.

I bought (and they looked after) my SP10 and now the same with my V12V. I'm more than happy and won't go anywhere else, but this is always going to be based on personal experience above all else. I would say that I'm only 5 miles from them so it also makes sense for me to use them.

I won't say I haven't had my odd disagreement with them, however it's always been resolved in a very friendly and professional way.

Try them and see how you get on, that's the only way you'll know.

Im on the border of Sth Yorks n Notts. Over the last 10 years have used a few dealers and couple of indies. Usually depending on convenience whilst I was working at a particular office.

For an indy, head across the peak district to Macclesfield to Bridge Mill http://bridgemillmotors.co.uk/contact-us/

Ive not used JCT at Leeds before but can highly recommend Newcastle AM if you need the services of a main dealer

I drive past Works every 7-10 days for the forseeable future, so may try them next time.....

Bridge Mill did the last service on my V12 Vanquish. They are good guy's, have the right equipment and know their stuff, They often pop along to the area 9 AMOC meetings and are very helpful. I've done main dealers and Works service. I like Bridge Mill.
I would also recommend Bamford Rose. I have used them a number of times. Unfortunately they are a long way away.

I only use "Works" and David Webb is superb. He "gets it" unlike standard main dealers who in my experience are incompetent hence the 260 mile round trip with 2 train journeys to get me home and back to "Works" to pick it up.
Ive even sat in the showroom the entire day before for a warranty work visit.

Another vote for Bridge Mill - used them for my last service/repair/MoT when my local dealer (at the time) let me down badly (possibly the same one as you have issues with) - if it were not for the fact I am now based in deepest Scotland I would be using Bridge Mill again without hesitation.

DB9 dropped off at works this morning for a misfire check. Dealing with David Webb. So far very good. Will see how the quote compares to others for coils and plugs though...

I had the coils, PCVs and plugs changed at 65k miles on my DB9V, MY 2010, in Sept, at Dove House Motors.

Car did not have a misfire but it was preventative maintenance

Another Works Service customer here who uses David Webb and Martyn Rummery.

My Vanquish gets serviced there and i'm always very happy with the experience and service. I tend to get it transported down by them and then i find an excuse to drive it home....to Aberdeen! Last time it was via Castle Combe for a trackday in the Alfa.

We also had the DB6 with them last year. Very worthwhile indeed. It was getting a new windscreen and given the very handmade nature of the screens of that era it's not an Autoglass type of job (with respect to Autoglass fitters!).

Just had my DB9 serviced (again) with AMW on their fixed price scheme. Dealt with David Webb - excellent service, observations all very reasonable, no pressure to do unnecessary/costly work. I recommend them.

AM JCT600 in Leeds are brilliant - its the only car dealer I have ever dealt with where I have had zero complaints ever (and Ive owned Astons now for almost 8 years). Bit of a trek from S Yorkshire, but I'm fairly sure they do a collect and return service if you ask.
