Any DB 11 owners?
Discussion
Hi,
Thinking of one of these. Had a look at a few and just juggling some factors in my mind. Also competing with a Vanquish convertible, but not enamoured with the interior tech.
The question I have is around the paint. I’ve read enough to understand that some (not all) owners of the early DB9s weren’t too happy with the paint jobs on their cars. However was this a genuine problem that Aston have largely resolved in a) in the later DB9s or DBS and b) in the new generation of Vanquish, DB11 etc.?
Thanks

After weighing up my options for some time I’ve also just taken the plunge on the DB11 V8! Very excited to finally be an Aston owner and I’m loving the car so far in the short time I’ve had it. I’ve previously owned a Continental GT Speed and AMG GT and this feels like a nice balance between the two - more refined and comfortable than the AMG GT when you want it to be, but also with a definite sporty character when compared to a Bentley. My car is Concours Blue, Black roof with Dark Knight interior (dark blue) and the light/chrome exterior finishing pack. Bit of an unusual external colour - you don’t seem to see it very often, but when I saw it I really liked it and it’s a bit different from the usual black/grey cars you often see around.

You have bought yourself a beautiful car Rob. That colour combination works very well. I've had my DB11 V8 for nearly 4 months now and absolutely love it. As you say, refined and extremely comfortable on motorways in GT mode, and a whole lot of fun in S and S+ everywhere else.I think the DB11 looks stunning, and even though I love my DB9 if funds allowed (which they won't) I would definitely get a DB11.
The second century designs have grown on me in the last few years and i quite like them now, I not going to start another conversation about the design as its been discussed to death here but they are all a tad bit too aggressive, an Aston needs to be Classic and understated.
