Any advice or must have options from current owners?
I don’t want to start a fight, but have you considered a nearly new Vanquish S?

Right, I’d best head back to my V12VS garage of shame.

that is some sound advice and I looked into that too but seems like the finance deals are better on the DB11

Really loving my DB11, a big step forward from my old DB9. As long as you actually want a GT car and not a sports car it is a great choice. In terms of options I bought a MY17 Car rather than a launch edition but ended up speccing in most of the LE stuff anyway except the chopped carbon which I hated ! My thoughts now I have had it just over 6 months are:
B&O brilliant but I expect te premium aidio is good too
Touch sensitive control pad - I loved this at first but now never use it. The wheel is much quick and has a higher quality feel
Motorised arm rest - wasn’t keen but had it since it was a good height for my arm but now really like it. Works well and feels high quality.
Auto park - works well but in reality in London a space has to be so big for it to acknowledge it that it rarely is an option. If it will help it is easy to park anyway and if if isn’t it wot help anyway !
Was advised by the dealer not to waste money on coloured roof linings etc which I would agree with
I have the full seat adjustment which works really well but I am tall and large so need the adjustment, an average sized driver may get less value !
Mine is ultramarine black with black seats and two tone dash leather which looks fantastic but I think colour and wheels are really down to personal preference- go with what you love.

I am sure you know the reason for that.

I saw a couple of Vanquish' on a dealer forecourt last weekend and at a glance they seemed fantastic value against list price of a new car. The interiors did look dated though with flat leather rather than quilted and tech seemed to be last generation. A 2 or 3 year old car may depreciate less than a new DB11 over the next 12 months but with a new flagship on the horizon they could also drop like a stone. That said, £115K car could level out at maybe £90K over 3 years, servicing costs and repairs/warranty could be an issue though.

Thats it, with new DBS and repairs/warranty/service etc plus finance rates on user cars is higher, makes it more than a new DB11

Westlondondriver, good to hear your enjoying the car and yes definitely looking at it as a GT car

Zanderman, have seen the offer below which is with £11k contribution. This is the advertised offer so I reckon more discount might be available hence why I asked earlier if 10% was possible.

Yup it does, now if they can do 10% off list with those figures it would be ideal!

The interior is very poor in my opinion - very low rent
However the car itself sounds lovely and looks great

Then went to Bentley to view the new Bentley GT. Wow. What a car. What an interior. Makes the DB11 look terrible in comparison

BGT for me

You are now making me think of a Dacia Duster, the basic model.

Many Aston Martin owners have noticed a widespread very positive interest in the marque and their cars, by people who are neither owners, nor car enthusiasts. Unusual, but pleasing.

I would be happy to be seen driving a 1930s Bentley, but .........
I was though once asked by a lady employee at a filling station, "Is your car [my AM] a Bentley?"

Enjoy your new car Jonah.

Completely agree, | saw them both within minutes of each other and there was no comparison. The Bentley was about £210k though and apparently they are only building to order so no deals and no second hand stock for quite some time.......

Just to update, only managed 10k on a new order but more was available on stock cars but the stock cars have around 30k worth of options which was too much for me
Still a good saving for those looking to get into one

The looks of a DB11 are very color dependent. It is definitely more of a GT car. We are very happy with ours. Still have our 2008 V8Vantage and most probably always will.

i was unsure on the design of the DB11 when it came out, but it has grown on me.
I'm not sure the new Vantage will do the same

I drove the DB11 V8 and the new Vantage (the Lime Green press car) last week, on a visit to Gaydon. I was very impressed by both of them, compared to my old 'analogue' DB9.2. Much of the criticism of the Vantage has focused on the shark's mouth grill. It was far less noticeable in person than it appears to be in pictures. And a great fun car to drive.

I was really surprised and impressed, however, by the DB11 V8. I thought it was a cracking car. MUCH sportier than the DB9 - fast, fluid and fun. Weirdly, it felt lighter and smaller than it really is. Ride is excellent. I really went for it around the country lanes of Warwickshire and it rewarded me by feeling sure-footed and precise with superb performance from the AMG V8. Didn't notice any turbo lag - but perhaps I was just having too much fun. I preferred it to the Vantage. And I think many of us are now re-evaluating the looks of the DB11. I wasn't sure, at first, but now I think it is hands-down one of the best looking cars on the road. Just beautiful.

I can't quite stretch to one at present, but I think I'll save the pennies...

Every time I take the DB11 to a cruise in or to Cars and Coffee it has a crowd around it from the time I get there till when we leave. At Cars and Coffee the always have me park the DB11 with the exotic cars. Last time between a Lamborghini and a Ferrari. This is the 76th car that I have owned and my wife thinks it is the best looking. The looks are growing on me and I agree with other posts that the look is very much color dependent. I think that the BO sound system is a waste of money, maybe just my old ears. The interior is very comfortable and well designed. I don’t mind the nav screen tacked on the dash, alot of other cars have the same. I don’t use all the technology. I guess I’m old school and just want to drive, something that it does very well. I like it and it drives fantastic and it is fast but I still prefer the look of our V8Vantage, one car that will never leave the collection.
