Seasons greetings to all on this thread.
Looking forward to 2018 and the chance to get as many as possible of our AMR’s together at one time at some point next year, when all those Q spec V12’s have finally been delivered!
Have a good one.

Same to you !
Not sure about the figures on the previous post - would be surprised if as low as 20 UK V12s - we must have at about 15 on here !
I'd imagine mid 30s for UK V12 AMRs, but that's just an educated guess
WEC 6 hrs at Silverstone on 19th august would be a really cool place to get together given the AMR connection to WEC, although unfortunately I'm 90% certain I'm away in Wales that weekend
One day at Silverstone Classic which is 20-22nd July could be a good one - perhaps even an AMR display within the general Aston display
Or just a get together somewhere semi central for a Sunday lunch ?

I could do the August date but not the July one ☹️. Would be great to get as many together as possible so perhaps a Sunday lunch somewhere or a Saturday at Gaydon/Works ? Be good to get them all in front of the factory and group photo ?

That has been for sale for a while now - if it is really a real car that is available. If it is a real car I am surprised it has hung around so long.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

As much as I admire your enthusiastic post of prices of AMR V8's, I just can't see the prices being achievable when almost every dealer in the UK has a car or two sat in stock at RRP (or possibly less, I don't know, I haven't had reason to ask).Scintilla Silver V8 AMR with 1,000 km on the clock in Switzerland

I know everybody want's their car to depreciate slowly, or even better still, appreciate, but just buy it and appreciate it for what it is - the end of the line of what has been a stunning model of car! A car which stirs the soul far better than any other has for many years. Don't worry about what its worth - if they do go up, then that's amazing news, but just enjoy it, and drive it regularly in good health!

Agree it’s value only comes in to play when you sell it ! If that is going to be short term then in My opinion values are only going one way especially with GT8 values softening . Give it a few years then it may be a different story . V12 cars may fair better short term but I’ve not bought as investment so , unless something unforeseen happens , it will be my grandkids that might be following values closer than me . Agree Adam. What something is priced at and what is achieved are two very different things. It might be different in Switzerland but as you say in the U.K. there are quiet a few available which means it is highly unlikely that the V8 advertised in the U.K. will achieve its asking price - unless the vendor is very lucky and someone comes along not aware of what is available. The two U.K. cars advertised have hardly shifted quickly.I know everybody want's their car to depreciate slowly, or even better still, appreciate, but just buy it and appreciate it for what it is - the end of the line of what has been a stunning model of car! Mine has been bought to be driven and whilst it might be a rare car it will have miles put on it, probably 3/4K a year. It will be cherished and enjoyed! and unlikely ever to be hugely valuable. I will leave that to others!
Drive the car and enjoy it.I just brought GT8 £50k under list done 120 miles from a man pig sick as he thought he was going to make 50k profit! Looking forward to my V12AMR which will probably lose another £50k in 12 months especially when it’s done 5k...only difference is it won’t be for sale!

I think I know the answer to this, but it does seem odd that dealers do not seem to be allowed to advertise their new stock cars.
When visiting a dealer they will show new stock, and it usually displays the normal description card including an asking price.
Without any adverts, further away customers would be unlikely to know what might be for sale. Probably frustrating for the dealers, but presumably AML do not want the prices to be widely known.

Not sure that's different to any other main dealer manufacturer Jon? Ex-demo cars can be advertised, but even at a basic level like Ford new stock is never listed on their website. Specialist car dealers may list rare cars with delivery miles but technically they are not new at that point!
Agree Adam. If I was in the market for a V8 AMR I would be phoning around all of the dealers to see which car met my preferred spec best and get the deal done. I am sure some dealers will discount but others will take a view that these cars will sell in time at list and be prepared to wait. However, even they would be tempted to do a deal if they had an active buyer in front of them. I definitely wouldn’t be looking to pay a premium!Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
