Gorgeous car.Is it me being picky, and knowing how AML like to get everything just right, does anyone else think it's a shame that the contrasting stripe doesn't "miss" the bonnet vents ?????
I know it lines up with the badge but to me it looks wrong aesthetically and messes up what could have been a clean straight line.

Not picky at all, when I first saw it my OCD kicked in a little, but I've got used to it nowIs it me being picky, and knowing how AML like to get everything just right, does anyone else think it's a shame that the contrasting stripe doesn't "miss" the bonnet vents ?????

I'm not sure there's much they can do about it though, if they narrowed the line so that it could fit perfectly between the vents then my OCD would be thinking "that line is too narrow"

Looks fab Rob. I'm (stirling) green with envy !!!
I'm not sure when I'll get mine. It is, I understand, completely built as it's off line and has been going through testing since early last week (there may still be the odd Q item to be fitted off line)
But we don't know how much longer off line testing will take and then, if it will take 4 days or 14 days until delivery to Wilmslow
I could get a nod this afternoon that it's being delivered later this week or I might not hear anything at all (let alone have the car delivered) until the middle of next week
So whilst it looks like not long, it's now looking highly unlikely that it will be registered on 1st March as once it arrives, we need time for work the dealer has to do like fitting the exhaust, exhaust switch and AMR wheels, then the detailer, then PPF to be applied
So more patience required ! It's been two years for me, Ian & Graham since our first discussion with the factory about our run of Q cars based on the last / best specification of V12 Vantage manual roadsters, so I guess a few more weeks is nothing :-) Good things come to those who wait.

IndeedIn the bright light that photo appears to have been taken in, looks like you can see the difference between obsidian black leather in the centre of the steering wheel & gearstick and pure black leather on the upholstery, door cards, etc. I'm
Rob - I assume in most lights, it's not that apparent ? I was looking for it in your photo, because the same issue will affect mine- they state that pure black leather for the steering wheel is simply not possible.
Oh I’m not that observant Jonby!
The steering wheel is definitely a different colour; it’s alcantara rather than leather and they never seem to get it really black like the leather.
But it’s slightly accentuated in that photo by the angle of the sun which is catching the wheel but not the seats.
By the way I love the interior, it’s really really well done on the AMR (it’s even nicer than the GT8 interior)
Edited to add, the other photo taken from the front end (which has turned sideways for some reason) might be a better representation of the colour of the steering wheel

I was looking at the centre of your steering wheel which is leather, not the rim - as you say, the alcantara is rarely pure black. The interior is fab - I spent some time with the car they used to launch V12 AMR at Le Mans, when I was speccing mine and as you say, they have done a really good job. That colour mix really shouldn't work, but it does !

I can confirm 100% that they can do a Pure Black Steering wheel as Kermit has one - albeit that the outer is Alcantara not leather and of course Kemit is a coupe not a roadster. In the bright light that photo appears to have been taken in, looks like you can see the difference between obsidian black leather in the centre of the steering wheel & gearstick and pure black leather on the upholstery, door cards, etc. I'm

Im 95% sure that the N430 had a Pure Black interior option that included the steering wheel inner and outer too!

There’s light at the end of the tunnel for you guys!
Believe i saw yours when i was at the factory! Love the setup, a keeper. Inspired me to go ahead with my AMR upgrade! The noise......There’s light at the end of the tunnel for you guys!
Well, cutting a long story short, I have established that one of the parts which has a bespoke/Q element hasn't arrived from the supplier, but I am told it is expected within the next day or two, to then complete my car
So a guestimated 14-18 days from now until its at the dealer and 7 - 10 days from then til it's registered, so most likely 20-24th March that it's with me. Good things come to those prepared to wait just that little bit longer......
