I love the car and it was a real wrench handing the keys over. But as many of you know I have something else coming from AML and SWMBO won’t let me have three Aston’s (nor will my man maths).
I’m not interested in flipping, I didn’t buy it for that, so I’ve got HWM to price it below list, maybe I’ll regret it if the 2-3 listed at £50k over list sell, but I’m working to an (expensive) set of principles :;

It's a shame it's going but the replacement is going to be epic!

Now I look again, the Cambridge car has done a tenth of the mileage

You are an extremely loyal new Aston Martin repeat buyer Rob. Puts me to shame.
I am not one of the 'many of you know' , so am intrigued what you have ordered.
I see you as a traditionalist with Astons (including DB5), so that probably rules out a Mk2 Vantage.
I think you are a family man, so perhaps a Rapide AMR.
Maybe one of the other very last N/A cars, Vanquish S Ultimate, or V12 Vantage V600.
The only other one I can think of, DBS Superleggera.
Exciting times again for you, and I don't expect you to reveal until you want to.

I applaud you for it, hope whoever buys it takes the opportunity to have a very desirable car and a very good price and uses and enjoys it accordingly. I imagine the owner of XX12 AMR will be finding your principles equally expensive Can't imagine it'll hang around for long. My dealer (add pinch of salt) told me he had 4 or 5 customers who tried to put a deposit down on a V12 AMR, so I imagine anybody who missed out on getting one new will snap a 350 mile, great spec 'nearly-new' option at under list? Let us know how / when it goes!

I have the same worries . Got a track day booked on 22nd , have been told my vantage with performance pack should be ok !
It’s a lot lot loader than my DBS , and that was chucked off a track .
Will let you know the outcome .
Did you have any luck here? It’s a lot lot loader than my DBS , and that was chucked off a track .

I'd love to sign up to a few of the GRRC trackdays this year but they're all 105db, so i suspect i maybe borderline not allowed
After looking at and driving many cars for a long time (Mclarens, 911s, new Vantage, R8s etc) I finally settled on this! It was in my perfect spec, only had 40 miles on the clock (yes, 40!) and just felt right! It was the slowest of all the cars that were on The List, but something about it just clicked. Having come from a Lotus Evora, I can proudly say I am sticking to British cars for the foreseeable future! Now I am on the slippery slope of researching secondary decats....

Congrats! Must be one of the last ex-stock, so to speak. I can see why you went for it. Enjoy!Just don’t know why you’re even bothering to research anything. No decision to be made

Cheers! I have read some of your posts about the decats, and they are what have gotten me interested, so thank you! One concern I have is that I don't want the car to be too loud when city driving, so thinking of keeping fuse 15, keeping the current exhaust, and only doing the secondary cats. I am hoping that with that combination it will still be civilised when I want it to be, but really open up when pressing on. Am I right in my assumptions?Just don’t know why you’re even bothering to research anything. No decision to be made

You are correct in your assumptions. I run my V12VS with the fuse in and probably drive it on the paddleshift in normal more than sport mode.cypriot said:

A pleasure to help... [lighten your wallet]!Around town it's still very civilised without secondary de-cats. In fact, I can't really say there's a difference.
It's only when you pass the 3.5k rpm point (varies 500rpm up/down depending if you have Sport enabled, although I never deactivate it myself) that all hell breaks loose.
On start-up it's a tad load, but that all depends on how you get on with your neighbours.

So, sounds promising then! And indeed wallet lightening, although I know its around the £700 mark for the aston ones. Did you notice any difference in throttle response? Aside from the 100+ bhp extra noise gives!Around town it's still very civilised without secondary de-cats. In fact, I can't really say there's a difference.
