Thanks for the comprehensive reply,so I take it that the GT12 wasn't available as a manual?
Nope, flappy paddle only. Awesome cars, but a little let down by that

Given that the 7spd manual is basically a reworked SSIII box, could some wiley soul convert a GT12 to a manual?

Thanks guys for the informative replies.

It wasn't my idea as I knew about your car AdamV8 and the Lava Red paint not being allowed previously...

However it was my dealers idea he even suggested the wheels which got me excited... apparently they have set a Q account with me and they have accepted my requests (they being Q)... although I haven't gone through the details yet!

Atleast my enthusiasm has been curbed abit will update you guys on what happens! I also requested to be the last car ... atleast in Australia!

Anyways has anyone asked for the steering wheel to be like the one-77 flat bottomed ? Or any other crazy specs? biggrin

Does anyone know If it is possible to still have the Halo stripe on the carbon roof?

It was made pretty clear to me that there was no Q customisation possible with the Halo spec, so I'm not sure you could have the carbon roof at all with Halo, as that would most certainly be Q.

Sorry I meant to add this to my earlier comments.

What is the reason for no Q additions with the Halo spec?

I thought the question was fairly simple until I read Adam's post. I agree with Rob that if it has flappy paddles and no clutch then the arguement for calling it a manual is pretty weak. All I know is that when I compare the two of mine the SS feels much quicker.
Hate to be pedantic but it has got a clutch, just no 3rd pedal! biggrin

I'm not sure but its very clearly documented in the spec sheets Halo = no Q customisation. I think the idea is that Halo is their ultimate spec and is "perfect" as it is, so you can not tinker with it.

I guess there is nothing stopping you from starting from one of the other spec's however then effectively turning it back into a Halo spec car plus a CF roof via Q - but it would most likely cost you far more than the £6495 they charge for Halo, just to match the Halo, then everything else is on top via Q.

AM and Q pricing works in mysterious ways, so you just have to go with the flow and make the best of it for what you want...

Alternatively you could get the halo areas and roof added as vinyl stickers yourself. Ok they won't be painted under the lacquer but you also get the option to change your mind/the colour should you wish...

Stick with what you have matey, or snap up one of the last few V12VS's (Man or SSIII) which are still on the market instead if you are feeling an itch. The new Vantage wont have a V12 for a very long time, if indeed at all, and it certainly wont be naturally aspirated. yuck

Have you still got the Gulf decals on the car and if so how long are you keeping them on?

Come on lets get together and haggle for a discount on two Aerokit upgrades at the same time! wink
Yep keeping them on for a while yet bud - must admit to being tempted by the aerokit but can't get my head around the cost wink
