I wouldn't normally go for the painted cf font grille (I didn't on he GT8). But as the roof won't have the yellow stripe I felt it needed it to balance things out
Maybe get Q to continue it above the windscreen too giving the it the coupe look ...

I did wonder about getting it stitched into the roof. But then I thought it will never line up exactly with the one on the car. ..

....and yes once you had seen that your eye would be constantly drawn to it wobble

I've (controversially) not gone Halo. I'm sure that means it'll be worth 5p this time next year rolleyes

Having just sold my Hardly Green 4.7 V8VR (with yellow calipers), I'm a BIG fan of the colour scheme. My main reservation is that, as I've gone Roadster, the stripe doesn't have the same impact when it's only on the bonnet and boot, and therefore loses the motorsport connection when you go for the soft top.

So, here goes:

V12 Roadster
7sp manual
Exterior Scheme 4 (Scintilla Silver with Ceramic graphic)
Interior Scheme 1 (Pure Black / Blue Haze Metallic / California Poppy)
LW Seats
Rear environment in leather (I'm pretty sure you do have to spec this - otherwise it's carpet)
Brake calipers in Orange
LW wheels in Graphite
Assortment pack
Metal fuel cap
Wind deflector
AM Tracking

So, very little CF (other than what is standard, and on the backs of the seats!) and bit of a 'sleeper' spec with a few splashes of orange with the California Poppy interior accents and orange brake calipers.

So have they back pedalled on the "No Q customisation" with Halo spec? Seems to be quite a few of you going Halo and talking about Q items...

confused

I don't think there's anything 'properly' Q in there (the cf doesn't count it seems). Changing the stitching on the roof would have been, so they wouldn't have done it anyway (I guess)

I did have a Plan B; Ultramarine blue with all the CF tinted blue (Q quote for that). It might have looked brilliant or it might have looked odd. Having gambled colour-wise with the GT8, I don't want to push my luck too far this time, hence the safer option if the halo scheme (which I loved in the GT8, so hopefully works as well here).

I'll double check on the rear environment. But it wasn't even an option on the dealer screen and it makes sense that leather is the default standard for a Roadster; if it rains the carpet would be ruined

Robin, stop applying logic to the way Aston works wink

On my non AMR I do need to spec it.

Yes, I've just pointed out to the dealer that it's an option for the v12vs Roadster in the on-line configurator. It's the blind leading the blind! :

If anyone wants to still order a non AMR this might be your very last chance

Thanks SFO, I certainly hope so biggrin

I think a few people seem to be going manual and LW seats. Having just sold my beloved V8VR manual with lightweight seats, it was a no brainer for me.

I'm sure it'll be the only grey-with-orange-bits-and-lightweight-seats-manual-V12-AMR-Roadster though thumbup

I'd read that as they have a stock car for sale. Pretty sure the 20 slots are gone. AM Bristol has just put a manual V12VS onto demonstrator, which I had a very enjoyable day with last week.

Brief update

Got an email from Aston Martin (via the dealer) confirming that the Roadster rear environment is leather (some comment about their being a mistake in an earlier bulletin). So hopefully this is correct!

Is anyone else asking about tyres? The car comes with Corsas as standard. Think I'd prefer the Michelins my GT8 came with....

I'm getting AMR wheels for my non-AMR roadster and as they are dealer fit, sourcing Michelins. I don't think they'll supply another other than P-Zero from the factory. No logic to apply to that though smile

I had thought just to swap the tyres straight over and trade/sell the standard wheels.

GT8 & GT12 carry different tyre widths to V12V/S from memory - GT8 narrower, GT12 wider I think

V12V/S has only ever been offered with pirelli, in recent years changing from Corsas as standard with P zero an option to the other way round. The AMR cars have kept that policy, so it's P Zero as standard, corsas are a £500 option

For those buying AMR wheels, it doesn't really matter whether it's for a brand new car or a used / existing car - you can either have new tyres (from any manufacturer) fitted to the new wheels and sell your old wheels with the old tyres (be they used tyres or not) or have the tyres swapped over

Beats me why they don't put the very best tyres available on their cars - they strive for perfection elsewhere - but they often fit Bridgestones and the admittedly better (but not best) Pirellis? Absolutely bonkers. Ditching the AMR approved Bridgestones for a far more modern tyre improved my Aston no end. It absolutely transformed the bloody thing and I can pitch it about with such confidence after that.

Pretty much as before Jonby.

V12 Halo spec Roadster, AMR wheels, lightweight seats, accessory pack, wind deflector, umbrella. Succumbed to the Ti exhaust (based the GT8 it can be civilised at cruising speeds if the fuse is in).

Oh and matching luggage smile

Went for the basic Pirelli P0 tyre as I'm going to swap them straight out
