Yes I did consider red calipers but decided on the black in the end. Yes the metallic leather with red welt standard AMR colour. There are two v12s destined for NZ but I don't think the other is sold yet. I did consider the silver which looks stunning but in the end decided that ultramarine is also special and shows the lines of the car off better.

Ordered this week 3 June on return from Le Mans where I saw the AMR Vantage in the flesh.

AMR V8 Vantage Coupe Sportshift, Halo pack, alcantara steering wheel, Aluminium petrol filler cap, CF wing mirror caps , glass switches, black mesh grill, delete front no plate plinth, black satin finish wheels.

Expecting delivery mid-October. Waiting on a date to go see her in build at Gaydon.

Can't compete with some of the fantastic V12's being specced here but I'm still pretty excited about this car.

Indeed. If posts on here are representative, you will be in a very exclusive club with sportshift AMR, although most posting specs on here seem to have V12 AMRs. To be fair, a flappy paddle Halo spec V8 coupe is closer to the GTE car which the AMR celebrates than any other combination

Are your satin wheels the 'standard' wheel i.e. not the AMR 'aftermarket' option wheel ? If so, presumably satin was a cost option and gloss was standard finish - that's the way it worked on the V12

Yes, initially was going with standard gloss black but on reflection (no pun intended) went with the cost option of satin, just felt it would look better with all the standard carbon bits.

Yes, initially was going with standard gloss black but on reflection (no pun intended) went with the cost option of satin, just felt it would look better with all the standard carbon bits.

The CF finish is classed as gloss, but it's not as shiny IMO as a gloss wheel - I definitely prefer the satin finish to the wheels - look forward to seeing another of the growing number of PH AMR cars !!!

I'm thinking about the AMR wheels as I don't like the normal V12 wheels... but definitely satin for me.

Is it really better for the manual?

Where do you put your phone for the Apple car play ? As it has to be physically connected and non of the plus versions fit!

I have the low console in my GT8 and is definitely suited to the manual shift. I had the high console in my manual SP10 so had an easy comparison.
Can't help on the CarPlay question - USB stick fits in fine though !

I don't think I've ever switched the radio on in the GT8 (also low line console), let alone plugged something into it. I'll check it out this weekend though

Just as an aside it looks like a good number of the UK bound AMRs are represented on this forum (or connected to people here at least).

Completely disagree. Go sit in one and see what suits you. Low line for my seating position meant my elbow on the edge of the hole that's left and I don't like the action. I'm a lanky git, so the seat is far back.
