When do we stop calling this "New" Vantage and call it something else like Vantage MkII ? Or doesn't that work because of the original Aston Martin V8 Vantage which would, I guess, make the V8 Vantage the MkII and this new car the Vantage MkIII?
For those who aren't sure about the styling - "DisadVantage"?RichB said:

Vantage was of course the derivative for the sportier models going back many years to DB2, a little like S versions now (in other words, how AMR should be applied but isn't). There was a V8 Vantage in the '70s and then again in the '80s based on Virage but with twin superchargers. So we are arguably on Mk4 of V8 Vantage
I guess over time people will find a name for this one to help distinguish.

Possibly not a good topic idea. -

As somebody correctly pointed out recently, to an extent, Gaydon owners are now referencing the 2nd century cars in the same way that many owners of older cars speak about Gaydon cars. Of course to some, even NP cars aren't true Astons
We must remember though, when the Vantage Concept (built in India) was unveiled at the North American Auto Show in January 2003, it was a sensation. 'Mouths fell open around the world'. Some customers had to wait two years for their car, when production began.
I am sure many NP owners must have perhaps secretly admired the design (of the new 'cheaper' Aston). -

Less than 50% of the price I paid for for my V12 just over 18 months ago. Laughable, in a non funny way.
Holy moly Bins, I thought you knew people... It was a valuable car when I owned it, not sure what Bins has been up to with it
Being serious though I couldn’t believe the offer when I heard it. I thought it was a joke and effectively the dealer was saying they don’t want to buy stock. Things must be bad

Something is wrong here as you see DAVIDOXE was offered 55k for an 09 V12V coupe against a Van Volante.Your car is worth over 100k for a dealer to sell surely.

This is absolutely lovely. Fixes so many things wrong with the original design. I want one!

Having paid the new Vantage little attention, I'm now lucky enough to have one as a loaner while my V12VS is in for some warranty work. It's a wonderful thing, tremendous to drive and feels like it could be a bagful of fun if you feel inclined to push it a bit harder. It seems to put the power down with a lot less slithering than the V12, too.
Looks divide opinion, as we know. I personally like it but suspect it's more colour / spec sensitive than its predecessor. What I don't like is its extremely dated infotainment. The fussy interior I could get used to, but the satnav and media stuff feels properly old. Having had a new Merc CLA for the first part of my car's visit to the dealer, the Vantage is really showing the age of Merc's last-gen tech.
If Aston can sort that out and when the roadster comes out I could be sorely tempted.
As for the V12, I can't see the point. The V8 is extremely quick and that engine has the potential to deliver so much more. I can't see what the V12 would provide other than a different soundtrack, 'status' and a messed up weight distribution.

They just need to provide a screen that does CarPlay or android auto - google maps, Spotify, phone etc all built in. Looks divide opinion, as we know. Never goes out of date as it’s constantly being updated and the main software is on the phone. Built in infotainment systems are just not able to keep up with technology speed even less so these days.

I hear that CarPlay is coming to Vantage via a firmware update.
Hopefully not a rumour.
It is sad that these things matter but they do; it's what you look at most of the time when you are in the car and I hate the last gen Mercedes command system.
Surely "the road" rather than information/entertainment?Hopefully not a rumour.
