Is there anywhere to see the new Vantage at the moment without a special invitation?
Does Gaydon have a showroom, as such, that is open to the public?
There's likely to be one in the atrium at Gaydon, but it'd be worth asking around the dealer(s) local to you. The Zaffre Blue example that was at Bristol last week will probably be doing 'guest appearances' at selected dealers I'd have thought (2 days at each or something like that).Does Gaydon have a showroom, as such, that is open to the public?

Wayne, remember this was early 1950s so over 60 years ago and was kind of an evolution of the Aston pre-war grill. The DB MkIII (pictured below) was an evolution of that and set the standard for what has become the Aston grill shape ever since.
Thanks Rich,My comment was a little tongue in cheek!
However, having seen this one it actually shows the new Vantage as having much more heritage than I thought, with a larger grill area than the millennial Astons.
Its changed my mind on the new shape ....

I did get your joke Wayne.
When the famous Aston Martin grille shape was being refined, there was another car manufacturer on the scene.
I am not sure whether it was Ford or Aston Martin, who introduced their grille shape first, but as you see, the close resemblance has happened once before the current Ford grilles.

And not mentioned the dashboard shape mimics the grill.DW
It's probably much better in the flesh, and it's certainly better styling to my eye than the db11 but still disappointing.
The db11 loses it around the B/C post where the line drops, in so doing making it weaker...the line should be up and and the metal pushing out to give it muscle, strength and presence.
The new Vantage loses it around the c posts...they should push up and out slightly more. From a front three quarter view it looks like it's got no boot hence it reduces its presence. And that detracts from lots of really nice styling touches that make it sharp and edgy with lots of lovely presence from other angles
Each to their own I guess. I still prefer my V12VSR

Interesting article on the new GTE racing car on the main PH page.
It seems the car has been designed far more with racing in mind such that that are some changes to the internals on the road car that are done to allow the Race car to be as successful as possible. AML certainly seem to be taking WEC seriously!

I called into Newcastle at the weekend to see the blue car that's doing the rounds, very nice it is too. The panel fit was a lot better than the red car a few weeks ago, apparently that was the car used by Top Gear on the 'milk run' no wonder it was a bit battered, the dealer said the underside was a right old mess
