Its not puzzling at all. There has been so much overt hate on these forums for the new Vantage that you would need to be incredibly thick skinned to post here that you had bought one
Exhibit A for a New Vantage owner is this thread. If they come across it they will move swiftly on

I drafted a post like this earlier and thought better of it, but we might as well address the elephant in the room.
While I think there's simply just very few cars out in the wild thus far; when they do appear, it's unlikely the owners will shout from the rooftops they have a new Vantage on this corner of PH, because it hasn't had a luke warm reception like the DB11, it's had a decidedly negative one instead. If the main talking point about the car is the disliking of the choice of engine, the front end styling, and the cabin in general... it's not going to end well when an owner starts a collection / handover thread.
It's a pity, because I like the new car, and would love to see and read some insights from owners, but I fear they wont be on this forum.
In a similar fashion, I had a look at a China Grey DB11 AMR earlier this week - bloomin lovely it was, but it's another car that has people riled up because of the supposed confused nature of where AMR are going, so it's another car that will likely be regarded as the distant relative who doesn't get spoken about positively. Again, owners are unlikely to put their head above the parapet.

Lots of fun had today with Aston Cambridge’s new Vantage. Just a teaser of some of the drone shots here:

Agree up to a point regarding the negative comments, I've had my say in the past regarding certain models but I try not to labour the point, black wheels on the other hand....
You mention about new owner threads, of which there are many, and I can't recall ever seeing anything negative on one of these. There are some lovely cars and specs posted up and some shockers, but if someone has bought it then if you like it say so, if you don't, no need for criticism, just move on. However if someone asks an opinion, say what you think.
Now I could have missed it but it seems people do keep their venom for the general discussion threads regarding new models, which to me at least is fair game. AM read these forums as we know and how much they value the feedback is anyone's guess in the grand scheme of things, but if all they see is 100 pages of 'that's amazing' then they're going to think all is rosy in the garden. How will the cars develop and improve without feedback, good and bad?

Agree with almost all of that (apart from the bit about black wheels!). But we’ve ended up with a thread entitled “New Vantage?) that runs to hundreds of pages of people repeating their dislike for the car. I’m not saying I disagree with the views. I just don’t feel the need to shout it every 5 mins
But hey I don’t want to keep running over the same old ground, year after year.
Wish you were here (new Vantage Owners)

How is it policed though? If there's negativity but all from different people then their opinions should be heard. If however the same odd few keep banging the drum, then it will put people off, whether they are potential new owners or not. I can't see how on an open forum how it could function any differently.
I would also like to see some pictures of new Vantage's out in the wild, but I haven't spotted any on the road yet either, so how many in reality have actually been delivered?

Nick, I know where you’re going with this.......I’d say somewhere between 50 and 100. Which, as a percentage of existing/potential/aspirational customers of AML, is feck all. But some of the opinions are strong and persistent. Be very interested to know actually how many there have been.

How many read it though without being contributors or registered even? Must be quite a few more albeit still a minority.
Good point. I’m not saying for one minute that the exposure given by this forum is insignificant......but it’s not quite as important or as widespread as some may believe. Phil74891 said:
I reckon if AML used that black one as the launch car, then this would be 137 pages of fk me I want one...........
Agree with all the above about new owners not wanting to deal with the flak, and also about AML making a bad choice with launch color. While Signal Green looks good as an accent color on a road car, it does not look good covering the full body, and accentuates the garish grille. A more relatable color would have helped smooth the transition shock going from the styling of the previous Vantage to that of the New Vantage.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
