I actually find it quite nice in the white colour. A bit different from the grey. The interior is a bit on the wild side however. All black would probably have been nicer.

I think I mentioned a few pages back that the handling was a bit suspect and that you would see a few end up in a ditch....

Are the two pre-registered (new) Vantages at Nottingham, the same cars which were mentioned on here a few months ago?

Other dealers also have nominal mileage Vantages for sale.

How exactly is the handling ‘a bit suspect’?

And I don’t really take one car having a crash as proof of anything - there could be a million factors involved there, the least likely being the car being at fault.

Not sure, Nottingham had 3 Vantages in the showroom on Wednesday, a white car and 2 china grey cars. wink

Utter nonsense. It seems to me you're still justifying to yourself cancelling your order.

Have you driven one on the public road? I was carrying out an overtake on a straight A road and the car felt very unstable over an uneven surface, I was not pushing hard but it was enough to unnerve me and was one of the reasons I chose to cancel my order so yes, it was a part of the justification. You can think what you want, my thoughts at the time were that the car did not handle anywhere near as well as I would expect. The other issues around build quality contributed to my decision.

Jeez - what speed was he travelling at to get that far off road having already hit what looks like a stone wall front on?

We'll soon see how they handle when one races in DTM:

You are of course correct Tim, but I read tuffer's comment as being simply a witticism.
I have not driven a new Vantage, but the handling is probably even better than the original model.

When the stones, presumably from a wall, can be seen scattered across a field, there was clearly some speed and force involved, but of the many possible causes, they could even include a heart attack at the wheel.

Leaving that cause aside, hopefully the occupant(s) were not injured.

Sadly looking at his following posts, he was serious.

I’ll repeat - the driver of that car appears to have smashed front on into a stone wall (see crash damage to the car). And then slid what looks to be at least 30 meters sideways (look at the track marks) across the ground.

I think I’d be on pretty safe ground to say that “excessive speed” might be a contributing factor in that accident. Hopefully everyone was ok

Both doors appear to open perfectly. Testament to the safety of the car.

Yep, that’ll be because the engine is set so far back. Lots of lovely metal to crumple in that nose.

The reason I find Tuffer’s posts so hard to read, is that I don’t think I’ve driven a more confidence inspiring 500hp car. I got in and drove it non stop for 4hrs, hard across all kinds of roads and it was flawless.

Forza Horizon 4 clearly demonstrates how UK stone-built walls have minimal impact on speed.
