Yes I know about this, it forms part of their invitation for the early previews they put on, they did something similar with DB11 before it was released. Those lucky enough to have a strong interest or deposit in with their dealer for the new Vantage get invited in to be one of the first to see the car. I know this is happening during October/November so a full announcement may be sooner than we think?kith said:

Is that an official teaser? Car looks super wide in that photo, probably due to the lens angle.V8V Pete said:
The official opening do at Aston Martin Nottingham is 5th October. I did wonder why it was so long after the dealership actually opened. Could it be that the timing has something to do with the new Vantage launch?
Did not realise there was a dealership in Nottingham. Might go for a gander!V8V Pete said:

Is that an in 'invite only' gig or can any old rif raf turn up, but then I'm doing a Factory tour the day after so can't imagine they'll have anything I can't see there. garyhun said:

Very impressive new set up, a lot bigger than the old Stratstones at Derby but most of the old faces.raceboy said:

Possibly not Pete. Maybe not quite the right ambience.
Aston Martin launch Vanquish Zagato at ... Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, Lake Como, Italy.
Aston Martin launch Vantage at err ... Nottingham.

Hi guys,
First post on here but wanted your advice.
I placed a deposit on the new vantage a while back and am due to view the car in a few weeks.
To say I'm excited would be an understatement!
However, we've had some great news in that we're expecting our first child so I'm now not sure a 2 seater that only I can use on my own is all that practical.
My instinct is to carry on and order the car and hope finances improve enough by June delivery to get another car as well, but if worse happens; do you think I'll lose out much?
Will the Aston dealer buy it back?
To be clear I am not interested in making money on it, but do you think I'll have any options once the car is delivered to me?
Hopefully when I see it in a few weeks it'll blow me away so much I'll find a way to follow through and keep it anyway!
Hope this makes some sort of sense

Go back to your dealer and put your cards on the table , I'm sure that a negotiated settlement now will end up being the cheapest way out for you.First post on here but wanted your advice.

Carry on with the purchase and you'll end up with your pants round your ankles whilst you get Rodgered well and truly.

This car will be out for years. I personally wouldn't put a deposit on a car that has not been see, no options released etc. I would wait till it's out and you know the colors, options, prices etc. And if I had a child on the way and was stretched financially, I wouldn't even consider it an option. Family and children come first. IMOFirst post on here but wanted your advice.

At this stage it’s a completely refundable deposit so you can get all your deposit back. No need for ‘negotiated settlements’. Alternatively carry on with the purchase and hope there’s a long enough waiting list to maintain prices for six months to a year or so. When the first vantage model was released the cars were selling close to list for 12 - 18 months. Clearly not able to predict the future but hoping this is a model in demand!
+1 for this or Buster's approachyou other guys give him a break, some of those responses to a first time poster are really off putting, we've all mad decisions in our lives that get changed by unforeseen circumstances, we then negotiate an outcome & move on
Nothingspecial
congrats on the baby & hope you still get your Aston, if not now then one day soon - maybe a DB11 V8 with the back seats
in which case I hope you get a decent welcome to the forum
Graze
Thanks guys for your thought provoking comments, and especially to graze01 for the kind welcome.
I didn't make it clear that my wife has a 4x4 so we have the "family" car for when we're altogether. I'm trying to make up my mind if it's reasonable to just use the Aston on my own given it's such a major purchase. Seems a shame not to share the enjoyment with my wife. I think I'll end up just to driving it to work and back which will be great but seems a bit selfish.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with a new born and two seat car? I'm guessing the baby will never be left with babysitter etc for a year or so at least so my wife will never sit in it!
I think I'm coming to the sensible conclusion just be typing these posts out, so thank you all again. I'll go and see it (because I've never had the chance to do something like this (pre release preview) or see the factory) and then explain and ask for my £5k back.
I'm much more excited by the baby than the car, obviously there's no comparison, we've been trying a fair while.
Was just hoping I could have my cake and eat it!
Db11 is a fine suggestion but (and don't shoot me) I'm not a huge fan (always liked the vantage).
Time to google sports coupes with isofix in the back!
Thanks again

Sorry that you have encountered a difficult decision Nothingspecial, but congratulations on the important aspect, the future arrival of your first child.
My Vantage knows its way home to Gaydon, so if you are allowed an owner/guest to your viewing, and want to arrive by Aston Martin, please sent a PM to me.
