Hi All,

I'm currently 17 years old and know nobody other than my dad who likes cars. All of my friends are either into football or drugs which I have no interest in. One thing I do have interest in is cars (hence posting on PH), more specifically, supercars. In order to stop this from sounding like an advertisement, i will stop here and leave you with some questions to reply to below.

What is your favorite car?

What is your age?

What do you drive now?

Where about's are you located?

My answers:
What is your favorite car? My favorite car would currently have to be the 991 GT3 RS.

What is your age? As mentioned above, I'm 17.

What do you drive now? I drive a Ford Ka MK2. Polish built, rather boring...

Where about's are you located? I'm located in East Sussex.

Haha, unfortunately I have a girlfriend and an unhealthy love for food so the GT3RS might have to be put on hold for a while...

Do you drive your GTR everyday?

A petrol head living near silverstone? Surely that cannot be a coincidence... laugh

Where there's a will, there's a way.

First car I ever bought was a Lamborghini (Jalpa) when I was 25.
Went 50/50 with an old school friend.
I literally didn't have any money left to eat that week.
Girlfriend had just bought a flat, so lived there rent free.
Then, because of the stock market crash that month in October 1987, my mate lost the money he was going to use to pay his half of the car, so I ended up owning all of it.
I still own it today.

Appreciated. Luckily as I'm not into drugs or drinking I can focus my free time on my education and finding that magic formula to make RS money.

Out of interest, how many miles has your FF got? Considering you daily it. Also, the Clio RS cars are very very pretty, but what made you choose that when you daily an FF?

Currently c. 39k km, of which I did c. 28k km during the last 20ish months. Unfortunately it already spent 4 months this year in the shop due to somebody rear ending it and now it is back because sth went wrong mechanically last weekend and it had to be trailered due to leaving a lot of oil on the road - it is not having the best 2017 so far....

Clio because of - weight, manual, high-revving engine. also I read about it on a Pistonheads Porsche thread and decided to spontaneously buy one.

Next car will be manual again once I make some money - after having experienced double-clutch for a while now, I have a clear preference for a normal manual transmissions

As others have said on here, keep the faith Ted. Anything is possible in life, especially when you're only 17. I remember some of my mates were spending bundles of cash on all manner of questionable substances when we were in our early 20s. I had no interest in that. Bought a Porsche 928 S4 instead. My first ever car. A rash decision, it broke down a few times, but still makes me smile every time I think about that car and the adventures I had. That's what life is all about.

What is your favorite car?
Ferrari F12 tdf

What is your age?
50 (how did that happen!)

What do you drive now?
Ferrari 599

What is your favourite car?
F40

What is your age?
31

What do you drive now?
A growing collection of cars, all awesome in their own way.
RR Autobiography (family/wifemobile), F10 M5 mildly modified, 458 Speciale, 355 Berlinetta, Cayman GT4, Carrera GT, TVR Griffith 500, '57 Chevy Bel Air Convertible, Nissan Bluebird Turbo ZX. More to come.

Where about's are you located?
Buckinghamshire

My advice would be, if you want to make real money, start a business now. Starting a business is a lot harder when you're financially comfortable, on a £100k salary with a wife and 3 kids to support. It's easier when you have nothing to lose.

Thanks for the advice. I'm really taking in everyone's advice on this thread, its incredible to be getting so much of it, priceless!

Adam, I read out your collection of cars to my dad, aged 50, all of the cars essentially went over his head, but when he heard "Nissan Bluebird Turbo ZX" his eyes lit up! laugh

By the sounds of things, the way your collection is going, you could get that F40 soon!

Much healthier to be into cars than drugs, both will end up taking all your money. At least the car is a natural high, and provided you stay within the legal limits you won't end up in trouble.

What is your favorite car?
Tough one to answer as I have too many but currently I am in love with the F12

What is your age?
31

What do you drive now?
Family car = BMW X5 30d M
My car = 2010 Viper ACR

It's a hell of a buzz. Yet don't be thinking once you have acquired THE car of your dreams that your drive way goals are over.. the chase never ends.

On plus note... acquiring a super car should be easier for you and your generations beyond you as the world gets more entrepreneurial inclined, the opportunities are greater and money is more accessible to all whom will work smart and hard for it.

My father got his dream car Ferrari 308 at 50, I got my Murci at 36 and you could get yours in your mid to late twenties.

The hard part... you gotta come up with that Eureka idea or at the very least be tenacious about your endeavours.
