GSID Upgrade?

I have a 4.3 Vantage Manual which like all Vantages has the GSID. However because mine is an early Manual car it only tells me when I'm in reverse and when I'm hitting the red line. Is it possible, or does anyone know of an upgrade, whereby it can be updated to show you what gear your in when driving? Like they are set up in the sport shift cars?

As far as I know there is no way that the manual cars can show the selected gear in the dashboard. That said, I would be very interested if an upgrade ( or a modification) existed.

The V12s 7 speed manuals do it as standard, and a great help it is at times.

So you don't know what gear you're in at any one time?

Ok.

If it's too noisey, change up, if it's not noisey enough, change down and if things are getting further away, you're in reverse.
