I have contacted Dom, the photographer and this was his response......

Hi Paul

Hope your well, happy to come along I’ll pencil the date in the diary now for you.

Regarding costs how does £35 per person sound, I believe going from memory that’s what we did last time . I’ll process the images put everything on a download link and you can send it round to all the drivers assuming people do at least a couple of laps every one should get a decent selection of images .

Let me know your thoughts
It was £20 per car last time and we had around the 20 car mark giving him £400 cash in hand. If you have more cars I would still go for £20 a car and if he makes more money then all the better for him.
Don't look at what he charges but more "am I happy to pay £20 for a professional automotive photographer to spend all day taking some amazing shots"?
Those who went last time I am sure will agree what he produced was excellent. Over 600 photographs in large pixel format and also the same photographs in web-size for social media etc all uploaded to a drop-box.

I could watch that all day.

Rockingham is too far from home though. I might fly down and spectate though, if that's OK.

I'm sure there'd be no objection to that and I for one would have no problem whatsoever to a few laps with a copilot too.

Much appreciated. I would stick some money in a charity pot for that!

Sound like a great idea! Have done a lot of trackdays in my S2000 but thought I would never take the Aston to the track... unless it's an Aston only event :P

WOW the numbers are growing........

Had word back from Dom (the photographer) he says he will happily attend for £20-00 cash per car as long as there is a minimum of 40 cars....

Been watching this thread for a little while... Never planned on tracking the Aston, as it's not what I got the car for. But it's clear that this is going to be one hell of an event and a great opportunity to meet some of you, and some great cars. Can't miss it. Count me in..

That is a big jump in his fees. He attended last time for 20GBP per car and I think we had 20 cars. As an alternative I remember a thread last year where someone asked if he could photograph forum members Astons as he was building his portfolio to become a professional automotive photographer. He was possibly a family member of someone on the forum. Might be worth trying to find the thread.

I will get him to read this thread see what he says... TBH I am not that fussed about photos, although nice to have something to look back on... Only my opinion but I don't think £20-00 per person is a lot... Maybe ask for a set price for the day and just split it amongst every one? This all just needs to please all of us... smile
