Not sure if mine will be very clean, it`s currently got a patina of French insects splattered all over it and not sure where or when I could deal to them. It will have a few clean bits under the skin though! smilewink

From Darren Turner via the GT8 Whatsapp Group:

If it’s wet then grip level very very low!!
T1 can be daunting because of the wall. Build up to how much entry speed you take in.
T2 look for markers on fence above wall on left. Use them for reference to braking point. It’s heavy braking. Get car rotated then straighten it up as soon as you can on exit.
T3 a simple 90 right.
T4 bumpy. Compromise exit to help line into T5.
T6 fast and bumpy.
T7 progressive on brakes. Roll speed into apex. Crest and bump at apex.
T8 slow hairpin. Use all road on exit.
T9 heavy braking. Keep exit tight so you have better line for T10. All kerbs in finally sector are aggressive. Don’t use.
Food in cafe ain’t bad!! biggrin

No idea what any of that means, apart from the last line. So I might focus on that smile

Looking forward to Sunday. What's the form on arrival. Do they have a list at the entrance
to check against?

Also excited, but nervous about the amount of cleaning going on....

Only requirements I can see are
1) covered arms/legs
2) license (photocard only?)
3) helmet (can hire)
4) Money for pork based products at the café.

Plus me, and a V12V.

That's it, right?

David

Hi Paul. A quick one.. Gopros. Do you know what the rules are for mounts? I.e inside /outside? Fixed bolt on installs v sticky mounts v suction cups? A quick google revealed more questions than answers.. if not I'll try and confirm with the track tomorrow.
Normal trackday rules which are imposed by the circuit and managed by the operator is that they need to be tethered.
Something as simple as a lanyard clip should do.

It's a sensible rule. If the suction fails under G force the last thing you want is it ending up in the footwell preventing you using the brake pedal.

Have a good weekend.

Would be good robbo. What colour/car are you going in? Im a black db9 and nm is a blue v12v (I think thats right). I think from memory markham moor services is about an hour so we should be passing there around 7, but who knows what joys the traffic may bring.

Hi Soofsayer,

This is me .....

Hopefully see you on the A1, if not, in the bar!

Ps. Can you all believe, on the way home tonight, some little turd in an old battered MX5 was on my rear bumper wanting to race!? I looked at him in my mirror and just said “Seriously!?” I didn’t put my foot down though, the sun was in my eyes, too dangerous! Must have finally matured!!?? He backed off in the end, I waved!
