why 225k ?

The V8 coupe is c 145k plus options isn't it ?

normal Aston premium for a soft top is c £10k so c 155k for the volante

So mid 170s decentish spec, mid 180s well loaded ?

Sorry Jonby, I seem to have been over estimating Aston Martin prices recently.
It must be all this talk about £1,000,000 Zagatos, and £3,000,000 Valkyries, all sold out in the blink of an eye.

Is this what you're looking for?

For 180k I'd want better panel gaps than that, Tom. The tonneau is a mess.

I can't come to grips with the panel aft of the wheel. Looks like it is partially detached. Maybe better in real life...

What's with the square number plate? Is it a Japanese import? biggrin

Apparently it is an extremely clever device that creates very special airflow, and removes vortexes.
Something like that anyway.

I am sceptical that the driver would even notice any difference, and I agree with you. Much prefer the famous AM side stake, that was first used over 50 years ago. Why the need to mess?

Saw all the photos last night before the delete, they're probably all still cached on my PC but I'll not be posting. I prefer the Coupe, but then I always do smile

It looks quite nice in the metal (spotted one on the assembly line at Gaydon yesterday) - final production spec test car I believe. Luckily there's an option to delete the AM script on the boot.

It's a US spec car which is probably where the photos were taken, so it has the federal rubber bits which make the number plate area a little smaller.

What did I tell you ?

That must be the famous Charlotte at the wheel.
She lives in America.

It's all on the AM site now, including a short video.

Is there an option to delete the Aston Martin script - there wasn't when I asked last week ?

How will the rear "air blade" work as it doesn't have the side vents like the coupe to drive air into the boot space?

According to the press release, some of the main features are " creature comforts such as a heated steering wheel encourage all-season open-air motoring, and rear seat ISOFIX attachment points - a first for a Volante model - bring added versatility." Wow.

I understand it's something that dealers might take care of prior to handovers - of course it's all subjective, but the general consensus is that UK customers aren't keen on it. Admittedly it's aimed at overseas markets where brand identification needs to be more obvious.

I guess they must have trouble reading because it says Aston Martin on the wings badge.

Agree totally concensus amongst pretty well everyone I know is that it shouldn't be there on UK cars. I was discussing this with members of the Gaydon team and was told the only way to remove the script was to go through Q at this stage and as that attracts a minimum spend not sure this is a valid option . Heat gun and dental floss might do it but does seem crazy its a no cost delete item .

I'm no doubt in the minority as I prefer it to the tin top, and once the V8SV is available I reckon it'll be a cracking option.

Get a decent colour combination and some carbon on it and that would look great.

Tell me this doesn't look good...........
