I'm no doubt in the minority as I prefer it to the tin top, and once the V8SV is available I reckon it'll be a cracking option.

Get a decent colour combination and some carbon on it and that would look great.

Tell me this doesn't look good...........

The conclusion reached was that there'll be drawers full of expensive stick-on letters in the near future biggrin
It does look like the 5G Honda Prelude lettering. Even in the early 00's people got rid of it,

I agree. What's particularly surprising is how well resolved it looks with the roof up

Why the feck are almost all car videos such crap.
Show me the blooming car....I don't need all the "clever" odd angles and "lifestyle" nonsense.
Just show me the bloody car.

Agree Steven. I thought I might be the only one.

My theory is that the scene cuts every 0.5 seconds technique is being taught at the film studies universities such as Bournemouth. It is certainly a recent innovation. We see (well that is just the point, we cannot see) this often being used on TV these days.
One reason that I do not watch much television now.

Whilst moaning about this, I could also mention my other media hate, used continually by Countryfile and the Radio 2 Vine programme.
Viewers and listeners are presumed to be idiots, so they consider it necessary to keep repeating throughout the programmes, what else will be in the shows.

End of rant.

Love the car. Beautiful. They should sell well.

Funny that there seems to be only half an Airblade system.

Also unfortunate, that it appears customers might have to pay extra, to not have a badge fitted. It is the little things in life that can put people off (ref. the examples above), so Aston Martin ought to beware. It would be awful to lose a few sales, due to such minor issues

I think it is the gentle slope of the rear window, that helps with the hood up appearance.

I'm certainly going to give them an ear-bending about the AM script when I'm at Gaydon tomorrow. I hope this is just for the launch to encourage the Chinese market! Everyone knows what those wings signify.

How was the launch actually carried out this morning?

Surely it was not just the expiry of a press release embargo.

If there was not a special launch ceremony, these days a livestream on-line launch show would be good. Not expensive, and us lot could then feel a little more involved. An ideal opportunity, for Andy and Marek to make live speeches to the world.

Spoke about the AM script at recent factory visit, seems the rest of the world do not recognise the wings and need the brand name spelled out to them. If it increases awareness and sales abroad then it ok with me.

This really has grown on me the longer the DB11 has been out, even as a rag top. But I still think the interior is vile.

I have to say I prefer the Volante to the Coupe, so no surprise there. What colour is that Ryan.

Makes Chinese copies easy too!!! As they do this like one with a slightly different name (of course its totally original as the Chinese courts confirm)

Thank you Kevin, I’m glad somebody else has mentioned that it wasn’t just a small gathering in a dusty garage in Warwickshire.

Thank you Kevin.

Would be great for the Vantage launch, if we could know in advance about any live coverage which can be seen live.
A live viewing just adds a little more, to the enjoyment of watching.

Credit where it's due to AM.
Both the Vantage and the DB9 and the Vanquish were all going to be hard acts to follow and I think that AM have done a decent job with both the Vanquish and the new DB11.
I believe that the new Vantage will also follow suit.
It cannot be easy for AM to come up with these evolutions on such very attractive previous models that both excite and yet conform to the understated elegance that denotes their brand.
As long as AM remain focussed on their design values and adequate performance plus the enhanced customer service that AP appears to promote I see a bright future for them.
Well done AM and AP.
